I just pointed out statistics of teams that are what Nebraska fans believe we should be compared to. We all believe we should be a top 25 team. So I compared them to the top 25 BCS teams over the last 6 years.

Other teams play tougher schedules, other teams get better players, other teams have better coaches. That is why it doesn't happen everywhere.

Who in the hell is still talking about Callahan?

Please give me the good, tangible, ON THE FIELD, stuff about Bo?

I don't care about how much his players love home because that happens everywhere!!! I don't care about the graduation rate bullshit because it has been going down since Bo got here (not that I really put that on Bo, just saying).

I want results orientated, on the field, positive things.

All the other coaches out there play that many games....why aren't they winning that many?

To sit here and make excuses for why a guy has won as many games as he has is even more pathetic than to make excuses for why a guy has lost games.

There are no excuses for either. Facts are facts. If you want to point out statistics then point them all out....not just the ones that you want to. There are good and there are bad things about Bo Pelini.

Those of you who think he is another Bill Callahan should probably just wake up in the morning and swallow 8 tylenol pms.....cuz thar is no hope for ye.

no one said Callahan ....

that first paragraph line made me laugh. we're Nebraska right? We should strive for having championship like season. now I'm not asking for national because under bo that beyond a crack head dream. I've lower the goals to just conference champs and bcs bowl. but no let's throw a parade for 9 games won. and we wonder why we have no respect anymore media wise or nation wide

9 wins meant something when you only played like 10-11 games regular season...now you play 12 with bowl and champ game bumps it up to 14. add the fact we play 1 fcs schools and others that are having terrible season bragging about them is sad.

again congrats bo for winning 9 games. And getting slapped in the big ten by mich Iowa wisky osu . and losing to minny...

dear lord next year had better be a championship season conference wise .....

All I was doing was posting an interesting fact.......

Instead of seeing how cool it kinda is, everybody immediately jumps to their biased stance on the situation and starts attacking Bo Pelini.

There is no need. I wasn't debating on whether or not we should keep him or not......I was just posting an interesting fact that I found out about.

Brasky that's coo and all........but don't tippy-toe around the question.....

If 9 wins 6 seasons in a row is so easy nowadays, why isn't anyone else doing it? Is it by sheer luck that Bo is about to accompkish that feat?

I've heard one person argue that Bo had easy schedules........LMAO @ that argument.

There must be some real reason that he is about to do something that no other coach in the country can do. Everybody keeps ignoring that fact and just spouting what they want. "Bo sucks...yada yada."

Just answer the question already.

Everyone keeps responding to me as if I am defending Bo.....

All I was doing was bringing up an awesome fact. I said I didn't want Bo back.....I can't really explain why though......I'm just impatient and stupid

Ok JJM, since no one answers your precious question, as if you are the only person that doesn't get their questions answered, why is it that no one else is winning 9 games every year?

A couple of the numbers are off on Osborne's years but only by 1 on the ones that are wrong.

Basing it off of how many teams were in 1-A all those years:

1973: 17.8% of the teams had at least 9 wins
1974: 13.1%
1975: 16%
1976: 16.7%
1977: 17.9%

2008: 28.5%
2009: 27.5%
2010: 26.6%
2011: 27.5%
2012: 31.6%

I have absolutely no idea why.......that's why I'm asking.

If you don't know why then just say so. Everybody is so terribly scared to look like they don't know something. Hell I'll admit it.....I'm a dumbshit.......but I'm smart enough to know that you can't sit here and claim that 9 wins a season 6 years in a row is easy nowadays and then ignore the fact that nobody has done it.

Call a spade a spade. Bo Pelini is probably the dumbest smart coach in the country. He is the most successful failure of a coach there is out there. He does the good things that no other coach out there does and he does the bad things that no other coach out there does.

That is why we are the goofiest team in the country.

There are a million different reason why no one else is doing it. It changes depending on the school. There isn't just 1 answer why. But only speaking for myself, it doesn't mean anything if you don't have something to show for it.

It's not good enough JJM. I'd rather have 3 7 win seasons and 3 CCG titles and a national title in 6 years.

Sure there are no truly "bad" years, but there hasn't even been one great one.

It's that simple. I congratulate him on being the most consistently mediocre coach in the country. Bravo.

Well no coach at Nebraska will ever have a handful of terrible seasons and a handful of great ones.....

Our fanbase is too psycho......more than one 7 win season and you're gone.....whether you've won Championships or not. I can guarantee we would all complain if Bo wins the Natty next year and then follows it up with a 7 win season the next year after.

That's just our nature as a fanbase. We're childish......selfish.......spoiled.......whiny.......all that good stuff.

Nebraska's talent level has been a lot higher than people like to admit?

Well I don't know why 9 is such a magical number. And clearly these 9 win seasons must include post season games  so these 9 wins in a 13 game season is less then 75% (not a math genius but Google tells me it is 69%). With 3 of the 4 OOC games guaranteed and then a Purdue or Kansas mixed in there every year, each season starts out with 4 guaranteed wins, as long as the bus doesn't break down. This more likely is 5. But to be conservative let's say 4, that leaves winning 5 of the remaining 9 necessary to achieve this magical status, or a horrendous 55%!!(thank you again Google).

My question is if more coaches are not doing this, why?!!! Data would probably show coaches are moving around to much to acheive this string, just my guess but coaching your team to win 55% of the competition should not be that big of a thing if you are making multi-million dollars a year to do it.

Or as I would of told my kids I don't give a damn if Johnny's parents let him do that, I hold you to a higher standard than that.

Boom, suddenly the 9 win argument doesn't mean shit if you are a Nebraska coach. We hold you to a higher standard. Compete and win championships. How many years has Bo done that in a row?

And remember we aren't even at 9 wins this year, we are at 8 with a highly unlikely hail mary giving us the eight instead of seven.

So we are paying Bo 3.X million to luck in to eight wins when even Bozo the Clown could coach us to 7 wins? PROOF!

So it is all by luck and concidence basically....that's our final conclusion.

Gotcha....jest wanted to clear that up. Either way, we need a new coach cuz plain and simply I need Championships right this instant!

First of all, if Nebraska can be beaten by Iowa by 21 on our own field, and not to mention 4 double digit losses, 3 being in Lincoln, reaching nine wins this year will be a miracle of epic proportions. Secondly, Just one conference championship win, 2 or 3 wins against top notch competition, and maybe a couple of BCS games played within Mad Dog's first 6 seasons would change my opinion about him. Since that hasn't happened and most likely will not happen anytime soon, he needs to go.

Does this sound like a fan who wants championships instantly?

Apparently it's not okay to be displeased with Bo Pelini's middle of the road coaching resume.

IDGAF how "close" he's gotten to winning a CCG. The fact is that he hasn't won one.

What it comes down to is this: Who in the flying fuck has Nebraska really beaten since Bo's been here? He doesn't have a single signature win. When someone suggests Missouri, Michigan State, or a crippled Ohio State as our signature win, I cringe.
