He never looked fully engaged after the injury - and the new OL coach certainly has appeared to have been a major swing and miss. Really makes you wonder what could have been with a few of these guys (Price, Jordan) had Pollack been around to coach them.Price was a big disappointment. He wasn't seen as a special prospect, but he was generally considered a safe pick.
Fantastic Hobism. This doesn't seem to be the stance Watson is taking though. He is not willing to pay the price.I'll await Hobs article - "Bengals willing to pay Price for BJ."
I stole part of that from twitter (added in my own Hobs take).
I did the same - watched him mostly through the game. Thought he played well, not great, but good.Watched a little Billy Price in action last night. He's now the starting center for the Giants. He still does a decent job of run blocking here and there. He made a nice hole for Barkley on one big run. And he's still a mess in pass protection - Hard to believe he was first round talent.
Though the Giants scored a "starter" out of the deal, I think I'm happy with this trade.
Never even heard his name called once, not even as a substitution yesterday. Did he play?BJ Hill getting 2 sacks in the opener makes this feel like we already "won" this trade.
Pretty impressed with the DLine and the maturing of our young linebackers. Hill has so far turned out to be a steal.Never even heard his name called once, not even as a substitution yesterday. Did he play?
I can't wait for Apple to get benched.
Yep. Larry Ogunjobi has been a great FA pick-up as well. And apparently Josh Tupou is a PFF favorite. The unit wasn't great last night - And I'm afraid what will happen when we play a team that can run zone read (hello Baltimore), but the D has done well.Pretty impressed with the DLine and the maturing of our young linebackers.
