Bill Russell shouldn't be on anyone's top 10 list.

lol. having magic at the point is kind of cheating. it would be a track meet, inside and out.

lets go 60's. i'll put chamberlain, russell, big O, west, baylor/pettit on the floor. is there a line up from the current decade that could stop them?

It would be more difficult to find one that couldn't.

LeBron, Curry, Kawhi, Davis, and Giannis would beat those guys so badly they would quit the sport

Too many bigs? Sub Harden for Giannis

I can counter that with LeBron at point if need be.

Current team could start this lineup:

LeBron
Davis
Durant
Kawhi
Giannis

With guys like Curry, Klay, George, Embiid, KAT, and Lillard available off the bench.

And I didn’t even use Harden, Westbrook or Kyrie because I don’t like how they play.

Shiiiit I can think of an NBA team that would get whooped by those Old Schoolers.

PG- Jimmer Fredette
SG- Trajan Langdon
SF- Danny Ferry
PF- DeSagana Diop
C- Andrew DeClercq

Need another guard in the starting lineup to guard Baylor and Oscar. Only Kawhi can handle them.

I'm a bit disappointed you didn't mention The Joker. You're a jerk.

i assume you talking about playing against the 60's decade, because that team playing against the 80's would be a total joke.

too many bigs? too small. your team would be living at the 25-30 foot range. one and done.

Besides,

I was matching up with his 80s team.

That 60s team would get killed like you said.

Baylor never played SG during his dayz in the purple 'n gold.:heh:

Wonder who the first person will be that takes this comment seriously & tells me for no reason that Baylor was 6-5 & in fact would be a SG in todays game? I know there's gotta be someone out there. Don't disappoint!

you'd probably need to go 12 deep, otherwise your team would tire out. players in the 60's player nearly the whole game, every game.

you'd be lucky to break 100 points with that line up.

Wilt was a lazy fuck. He only played 45.8 minutes per game. That loafer Russell played 42.3. And Jerry West couldn't even play 40 minutes per game. Only 39.2.

One question. Aside from that fact it's next to impossible to compare eras. What era would this fictional match up take place? If it's todays game does that 60's team get the same benefits (training, diet, weight lifting ect.) as current NBAers?

Tire out?

Seriously?

Fail to break 100 against that 60s squad?

Now I know you are joking.

#2 or #3. Depending if you are talking both power forwards and small forwards.
Lebron being a power forward instantly drops Bird to 2. Bird was just a lebron who had his career shortened by back issues. Lebrons durability (The one thing seperating the two) with his amazing stats and winning makes there no comparison when it comes to forwards.

Dude...I'm speechless

The ONLY thing Bird was better at was 3 pointers (37.6% vs 34.3%). In every single other aspect of the game of basketball LeBron James is the better player and it's not even debatable

Oh wait....I just got trolled didn't I?

His short lived prime was more impressive than even Lebron. People forget that he suffered compression injuries to his back very early in his career. He had to play his heart out and destroy his body to equal the stats that lebron could do just naturally. That is part of the reason i said there is no comparing the two. Dont be a homer.

The fuck? Homer? I'm a Warriors fan. But I do agree, there's no comparing the two indeed.

i'm not one here calling bill russell a role player, or players from the 60's midgets. comparing different era's is nonsensical on many different levels. look at the nfl. with all the rule changes, how could you compare the current era to any other?

the point i'm trying to make is the players in the 60's could compete in today's game. they weren't no talent midgets.
