Bill Belichick doubles down on Patriots' innocence in deflate-gate, dares NFL to prove him wrong - Yahoo Sports

... the way the Patriots prepare the outside surface of their footballs – scrubbing, rubbing, etc. – actually raises the pound per inch levels inside the ball. Once that process ends and the ball reaches an equilibrium, the ball that was once legally measured to be 12.5 psi naturally drops to the illegal level of 11.5. Throw in the climatic differences between a room temperature locker room and a cold playing surface, and it's 1.5 psi or enough to cause this whole kerfuffle.

so now we're claiming that MAGIC WEATHER is what made the balls below regulation

Ordinary weather, actually, plus vigorous rubbing.

And perhaps negligent referees, given that the final responsibility was theirs.

the one guy who knows EVERYTHING about his team and personnel, has no clue how this could happen........color me skeptical

It's been a long time since he took high school chemistry; I'd guess 1967 or so, a few years before I did. I forgot almost all the details, so I can easily imagine that he did too.

And I even took college physics courses subsequently, which I doubt Belichick ever did.

Well, I tried his experiment, vigorous rubbing indoors and then I took them outside. Then I got arrested.

The phrase "vigorous rubbing" is my gift to all you perverts. Make the most of it!

Mark Brunell said you can throw the ball 10 yards farther with an under-inflated ball.

With the same level of accuracy? Maybe He's been around but he's still just one QB. It doesn't make what he says as indisputable fact.

All I'm saying is that Belichick is doing more than mumbling his way through talking about his interpretation of the rules as he did in Spygate. He's been adamant about what he and the team have done He's does his tests to check out some assumptions. It's very different than what he usually does and I'm very curious why?

And yeah I will be curious what the NFL comes up with too.

Then who deflated the balls for Tom, the Ball Fairy? Tom likes less psi in his balls but he's unable to determine whether or not it has less PSI in it? Gimme a break.

Mark Brunell said he can throw a ball 10 yards further with an under-inflated ball. It's a matter of preference which I'm sure has a lot to do with grip strength and hand size.

But Aaron Rodgers said he could throw the football over Mount Olympus with an over-inflated ball. Who are we to trust?

Lol watch the video he explains their testings on footballs this week. 1.5 PSI lost from inside to outside playing conditions and a 1 PSI increase on balls that are actively rubbed down before game before handing to officials increasing the measured temperature.

You can tell he is pissed off, hopefully the entire team is equally pissed off and channels it into a complete best down. I feel bad for the hawks, stuff like this fires the pats up.

:L I hope you were trying to be funny.

Not sure but if the NFL videos do not show Brady with a gauge in his hand what will you hold onto then?
