Pete Carroll icing the kicker on the road in the playoffs against Atlanta.

(Ok, not the worst ever, just one of my all time faves)

Not really sure how one protects a QB who is dragging one leg.

He was still moving relatively decent after the reinjury. When it got really bad was when they kept insisting he run around making plays.

Also known as a big time Raider Killer during his Denver years. :suds:

As far as the RG3 playoff game goes, I do remember people defending his decision to leave Griffin in the game. To me, that was probably the beginning of the end for Shanny in Washington.

Shanahan was a pretty damn good coach for Denver, and he always had a little something extra for the Raiders, I'll bet Al Davis wished he had done some things a little different in 1989, I'll put his treatment of Shanny right up there with Marcus Allen and Gruden, all came back to haunt him.

I think one to add, would be Nolan's handling of Alex Smith. Essentially throwing him under the bus.

Forcing Marcus Allen to the bench has to be among the worst moves in the history of sports.

Singletary pulling his pants down in front of his team at halftime to "make a point" is about the stupidest thing a coach has ever done but it didn't have too much impact in the grand scheme of things. All the other coaching decisions Singletary did on the other hand though...

he pulled Vernon Davis's head out of his ass. ended up being huge.

other than that though...

I still can't figure out what Sam Ritigliano (Spelling) was thinking against the Raiders in the first round of the playoffs in 1980. All the Browns needed was a field goal & he sent his offense out instead. I realize his kicker had missed a couple during the game, but it would have been a chip shot. Brian Sipe threw an interception & the Browns season was over.

He had also missed a PAT. All missed kicks were on that side of the field. Supposedly that side of the field was frozen and the kicker was slipping when trying to kick.

Jason Garrett icing his own kicker though was an all-time blunder.

How about John Fox not allowing Peyton Manning to run the 2 minute drill at the end of the AFC Championship last year? It definitely bit him in the ass.

:L

Ummmm....Broncos were not in the AFC championship game last year.

Tebow won a playoff game in Denver Ryan should have tried him after Sanchez sucked

Absolutely not. You're a better QB than Tebow.

Tebow had a good defense that kept a lot of games close to allow some 4th quarter and OT theatrics.

Still a huge waste of a first round pick.

It's hard to beat The Miracle at The Meadowlands for stupidity, though I guess that was technically the OC who called the play.

Tebow beat the Steelers in a playoff game. He has a life long pass with me.

Ditka not giving Walter Payton the handoff in the Superbowl would be my choice.

How about McDaniels making a slew of smart draft-day trades to have a treasure chest full of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks and blows the lot of em to trade back into the first round to get Tebow? Simply drafting Tebow doesn't begin to explain his stupidity. He was graded as a 3rd rounder (for what thats worth) and McDaniel's gave up a kings ransom to draft him 2 rounds too early

Thinking about my own team I go back to Schottenheimer going for it on 4th and 11 from the 30 in the first half against the Pats in the 2006 playoffs. They ended up losing by 3.

John Fox kneeling on the ball with one of the best QBs of all time at the end of the Ravens playoff game last year was another one.

Tebow is not even in the league anymore. Waste of a pick.
