New England was down 28-3 in the Superbowl in 2017. They came back to tie the game in regulation and win it in overtime.

The Red Sox were down 3-0 in the ALCS, came back to beat the Yankees. They then won the series.

This is #1 IMO... not only was it an epic Yankees collapse... which was painful... but it was to the red sox... which was even more painful, and not only did the red sox beat the yankees, but they ended breaking the curse of the Bambino and winning the WS...

that was the worst i have ever felt in sports...

The Super Bowl doesn't even hurt that bad, it was a great game. I don't even hate the play call that everyone calls the worst. If we hadn't won one the year before then I would feel different.

What hurt me the most is the 2001 Mariners. 116 wins, 8 or so All-Stars, did it without Griffey, A-Rod or Randy. Thinking it was finally our year to go to the World Series.......and nope. Fell right on our dick against the Yankees.

How about Plano East v. John Tyler, 1994 Texas HS football. Tyler was ahead 41-17 with 3:00 left. Plano got three straight onside kicks, scored three TDs and led 44-41 with 20+ seconds to go. Leading the Plano radio man to utter the famous line "I done wet my britches!"

Of course, Tyler ran the resulting kickoff 97 yards for a TD.
