Ryan Braun is in a category all to himself. No other athlete has ever gone that far out of his way to try to ruin another man's life just so he could hide his own PED use.

Mentioned already, but Rodger Clemens for sure. Actually tried to get his wife to take the rap for his HGH and Roids abuse. Also a *********.

Makes the MLB Asshole HOF.

Randy Johnson was one of the biggest jerks ever. He will always have a special place in Mariners history but the guy was a real D-Bag.

Just to name a few of mine:
Albert Belle
Ryan Braun
Barry Bonds
Mike Piazza
Maury Wills
Milton Bradley
Darryl Strawberry (but i give him a bit of a pass because he was battling substance abuse problems)
AJ Pierzynski
Reggie Jackson

Notice Ty Cobb isn't on the list. Even though i hate the guy, I do admire his drive and passion to play the game, even if he was a little fixated on individual statistics versus his team play. I wish we had more players with his passion on the Phillies today.

Craig Bitchio.

Cap Anson (1st to reach 3,000 hits) was a total racist and absolutely refused to play exhibitions games vs teams with black players. He actually did a lot for the sport though. He also created spring training and many different things. His dad was the founder of the town I live near and a lot of the town is named "Anson".

There is a difference between being a Racist and a Segregationist. I do not know who that guy was, but a lot of baseball players were just segregationists, as were many of the Black players in the Afro Leagues.

Ty Cobb is number 1...STILL...also battled "substance abuse" if alcohol still counts

Bradley maybe number 2

Jackson and AJ...same type...will fight for you while on the same team then kick you in the nuts the next season with a different team.

Bonds
Belle
Piazza

have all been linked to "substance abuse"

all MLB you listed have drive and passion to play baseball...to include big egos and me first personalities...but I can see why you think that after watching Howard for so long.

Robby Alomar's only transgression throughout his baseball career was the spitting incident, and he's apologized profusely for that one lapse in judgment and been forgiven by Hirschbeck. Otherwise, he was a model citizen.

Thanks for clearin that up Boss.

I can confirm this. My best friends family is from Pittsburgh, so he is a fan of all Pittsburgh teams. Barry Bonds was his favorite player until he met him, then it was absolute hate.

Lol. Barry Lamar Bonds. And the beat goes on.

"The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones
"

But the many charities, autographs and good deeds Bonds has done and continues to do without publicity will live after him and outweigh any evil deed(hostile to media and some fans).

John McGraw ,as a player ,had no peer as an asshole. He was the toughest, meanest, cheatenest, fightenest SOB ever. He wasn't much nicer as a manager.

Leo Durocher is a very close second. He was a total ass.

I think of all of those, I loathe Barry Bonds the most. He was convicted of domestic battery back in the nineties Can't stand the very sight of the man
