Another match up where UK's heavy right handed pitching doesn't hurt him... Nos is very light on lefty hitting...

Nos has the far superior pitching staff... But i actually prefer UKs offense over Nos... so i don't see the colorado affect being a positive for Nos... If anything it is a negative since it weakens his amazing pitching staff...

and i prefer UKs offense/defense in old time stadiums...

I am torn in making my decision...

I think i have to pick UK here, i feel like colorado helps UK more than it helps Nos... and since there is more games there i have to give UK the win...

Uk wins in 7

I gotta go UK here as well... I agree with Milks analysis here... UKs offense gets some help from Nos' field to help overcome the pitching strength... Feels like Nos switched his draft halfway in or tried to cover both ends of the field advantage spectrum... I think it made him not stronger than the power teams and not as fast/defensive as the old timers teams...

UK in 7

I vote UK cuz I love his lineup, im better everywhere else but as ive always said offense wins.

I also think you guys are paying way to much attention to the stadiums in not only this game but all of them.

I think the stadiums are critical. I went speed in the outfield and lower power high contact based completely on how big the field would be for me. You have a slow fielder a lot of hits would go that way. On the flip side put my team in coors, I still don't hit a lot of hr's, but I lose my obp advantage too.

I had Tris Speaker in CF one of the best CF's of all time, good hitters hit no matter where they play. I was worried the stadiums would play too big a part in voting and I was right.

Even in your example there is s big difference. Speakers doubles are home runs at coors.

I think you have a different oppinion not necessarily that you were right.

The problem is not the stadiums, the problem is no matter how many mocks we do we will never know how to accurately analyze players from the dead ball era.... and even most players pre integration....

Not all doubles are one hoppers off the wall... How many HR's do most players hit to straight away center? Most are pulled and if that's the case my guys would easily still hit HR's in any stadium, when players like McGwire, Reggie, Mize hit home runs it wasn't typically a 355 foot home run that barely cleared the wall.

I think it was a huge difference in the way the draft went... You can't just grab HR guys and offense without thinking about the defense IMO... As well as great hitting plays more... I think it was a huge addition and I enjoyed it...

I didn't have Canseco, Kingman and Rob Deer in my outfield.

I'm not saying your guys didn't have the ability to hit homers but...

1915-21 Left field: 402; Left-center: 402.5 (1915); Center field: 440; Right-center: 402; Right field: 402 (1915)

When you add those pitchers and that much room, most balls will be in play... It's why I went with all the defense and speed that I did...

Had to look up the last 2 lol, I didn't vote against you for your OF though... It was a collection of smaller things... I was more addressing the whole HF advantage...

I just have the opinion that home field advantage don't mean jack squat when you have the best players of all time playing, great players are great everywhere.

My bad it was 550 at Center in 1915...

402 550 402 is a huge advantage IMO... :noidea:

this is mostly true... but you know that some players have high fly ball rates, some with high ground ball rates... don't you think the larger the stadium, the worse the players with high fly ball rates would be?? not saying they will be bad, but certainly there are better suitable places for them to play... If you weaken anyone then they might now be worse than a player with different skill sets...
