:noidea: This kind of stuff is kind of "meh" for me. Nebraska's not the highest ranked school in the world (although it is improving) but I went to school to get a good job, not to say "I went to the X ranked school in the country!" I graduated from Nebraska and got a good job. Student athletes going to NU have the same opportunity.
This pretty much sums it up. Well-put.

Irrelevant and already debunked.

Usually it's the Ohio State, Michigan State and Nebraska fans who get so irate about laughable B1G academic standards. Take out Michigan, Wisconsin and Northwestern and its fucking SHAMEFUL how bad B1G academics plummet.
If you take those three out, the Big Ten still comes in second, behind the ACC and 15 spots ahead of the PAC. Interestingly enough, you didn't even pick the three best schools in the B1G...Illinois ranks one spot ahead of Wisconsin. Taking those four out, the Big Ten STILL ranks ahead of the PAC and is 63 spots ahead of the SEC. The Big 12 isn't even on the map.

Like I said, this kind of thing means nothing, but there's no point in having a discussion without at least using the correct facts.

Based on what ranking? (Translation: whose opinion?)

From another source, just to make @HammerDown happy:

ACC: 55.8
Big Ten: 58.3
Pac 12: 79.5
SEC: 99.5
Big 12: 117.5

Excluding Notre Dame from the ACC puts them at 58.5, behind the Big Ten.

This is from US News & World Report.

I would hardly call this an "article", but I read the tweet. It says nothing about academics.

The article also says nothing about academics. Just Hammer trolling as per usual.
