Meh, just tell me how many yards y'all racked up last week

Yeah, i thought they'd actually done something till Bama played FAU and rolled up 620 yards of offense with a first year OC, two first year QB's and a replaced O-line in only 52 minutes of play due to the game being called by lightning. If it played out Bama coulda rolled over 800 without trying hard.

Alabama, Florida State, BYU, Kansas State and even N. Dakota State - through only 2 weeks - does not equal not playing anybody.

I gave credit to Oklahoma State and West Virginia, so Alabama and FSU don't need to be listed. I used those because I thought oSu and WVU played tough against Top 3 opponents. Texas and Iowa State did terrible against teams those good teams. I didn't give Michigan credit for how they did against Notre Dame, I'm not giving Texas credit for how they did against BYU, and definitely not giving ISU credit for how they did against NDSU.

If I say Kansas State's win over ISU was good, then I can say Iowa's was good vs Ball State. Both had to make a 4th quarter comeback against teams they shouldn't need to comeback against. IMO, I think Iowa continues to play like that, they won't even get 9 wins in their cake schedule.

The worst win is better than the best loss.

Shit you don't even have the best loss thing going for you.

If only Texas was a big fat pussy like Nebraska and would schedule weak FCS schools in OOC games :L

If you played like last week, you would lose to FCS schools.

Doubtful, seeing how we rolled UNT, which is basically an FCS school almost. Doubt any of those teams have a QB like Hill. BYU would take a giant shit on the Aggies defense too, only difference is, ya'll have an offense that could match BYU and beat them.

Thats just it, Bama didnt really pump the brakes. They just played the game and rolled that much yardage very easily. FAU was horrible at tackling and coverage on screens was weak as well.
Nebraska didnt do anything great to roll up all that yardage, they just got the benefit of not playing anyone, much the same As Bama did this past weekend.

B1G: 14-29 since 2012 against the other power 5's and Notre Dame. 3 wins against ranked opponents. Looks like they may only have 2 more opportunities to pick up a ranked win in the regular season, Purdue and Northwestern against Notre Dame.

They're screwed then. But fuck regular season rankings. Not our fault UCF was unranked. They returned 9 starters from a BSC winning defense, If that was any other power 5 team they would've been ranked.

I don't care about the rankings right now. But what is ACC's and Big 12's record of that stat?

Where would the domers sit in this table?

....heck BYU too.

:suds:

I went to winsipedia and tried figuring it out. Back to 2003 and into this season thus far;

Notre Dame is 62-46 vs P5
BYU is 20-29

Thats with current alignments. A lot of BYUs wins came vs Utah before they moved to the pac, on the other hand so did quite a few of their losses. Theres been too much conference hopping to bother with not counting a team this year and stuff like that, at least for me. :P

Notre Dame sure did beat the hell out of Purdue a lot in that time frame as well...

This is why the perception is what it is. And so far the B1G has done nothing to change that fact.

Yeah, probably. Plus, I think a lot of pollsters thought last year's Knights were all Bortles and not much else.

BAYLOR - beat Northwestern State and Buffalo
IOWA STATE - lost to NDSU and Kansas State
KANSAS - beat SE Missouri State
KANSAS STATE - beat SF Austin and ISU
OKLAHOMA - beat LA Tech and Tulsa
OKLAHOMA STATE - lost to FSU and beat Missouri State
TCU - beat Samford
TEXAS - beat North Texas and lost to BYU
TEXAS TECH - beat Cental Arkansas and UTEP in close games
WEST VIRGINIA - lost to Alabama and beat Towson

Other than Oklahoma State and West Virginia, nobody in the conference has really played anybody. You can say Oklahoma State and West Virginia did good vs their strong opponents, but you can also say Michigan State and Wisconsin did good vs their strong opponents.

I think the SEC and Pac 12 have clearly shown they are fighting for top conference, and #3 is far behind. I don't think Big 12 has shown to be that much better than the B1G, and I don't think the ACC is better than the B1G.

you make a very good point.

However, I will say that BYU would smoke a number of B1g teams.
