The Bald Baller. Only good thing about the Lakers. :heh: I like his story & like watching him play. He wasn't given anything. You don't hear many stories like his.
Bald Mamba, get it right please. :thumb:

No no no, not the player that was the reason why teams didn't win a ring, the BEST player not to win a ring...
Man, next you gonna hate on Anthony Bennett

Right, I forgot that. Cross him off LOL
Yeah...I was thinking of Major League when I saw this when they gave a list of players to bring in.

"But that guy's dead"
"Well cross him off then"

Probably better to be removed for getting a ring than dying.

Dave Bing
Alex English
Bernard King
Tom Chambers
Ralph Sampson
Sidney Moncrief
Connie Hawkins
Bernard King jumps off the page out of that group in my opinion

Alex English on his level IMO.....but to be fair cannot remember ever seeing Bing or Hawkins play.

Hawkins was Dr. J before Dr. J. His best years were in the ABA. He was the ABA MVP in 1968.

He was forced to play in, first the ABL, then for the Harlem Globetrotters, then the ABA because the NBA wouldn't allow him in. He really got screwed over in the 1961 College Basketball Gambling scandal. He was effectively blackballed even though it would have been impossible for him to be involved because it was a point shaving scandal that took place his freshman year in an era where freshmen weren't allowed to play.

When I got to see him play a lot was when he finally went to the NBA (after suing them) as a member of the Phoenix Suns. My aunts had season tickets at the time and any time we were in town visiting during basketball season, they would take me to the games. He was a lot of fun to watch.

The main thread got me thinking about these.

The biggest ones are the usual names: Barkley, Ewing, Drexler, Malone, and Stockton
Next tier slightly down is Reggie Miller, Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill, Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Chris Mullin, Chris Webber, Allen Iverson...

Who am I missing?

I'm leaving out current players, they can always ring chase before they retire (Chris Paul, Harden, Russ, etc)

this is a good list.

Paul has a real chance to be the best ever unless he ring chases after his time in Phoenix.

Right now I would put the Sabonis father and son ahead of them on the list even if they are not Sr. and Jr.

do we know sabonis never won a title in Europe? Lol

Good list other than my including a couple that did win rings (Payton, Drexler) LOL

He better retire now just in case so he doesn’t ruin this distinctive honor.
