The main thread got me thinking about these.

The biggest ones are the usual names: Barkley, Ewing, Drexler, Malone, and Stockton
Next tier slightly down is Reggie Miller, Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill, Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Chris Mullin, Chris Webber, Allen Iverson...

Who am I missing?

I'm leaving out current players, they can always ring chase before they retire (Chris Paul, Harden, Russ, etc)

Elgin Baylor first that comes to mind. I'll have to think of others.

IMO, Shawn Kemp is another tier below. I wouldn't put him on the same level as the guys above. He's definitely not better than Webber.
I agree and any list Kemp goes on Payton has to go with him.

I have Payton above Kemp
Payton had more longevity, but Kemp had the flashier game. Payton was the better all around player and higher peak due to his defense. Both were really fun to watch. A poor mans Stockton/Malone

Didn't Drexler win one in '95 with the Rockets?

One guy that I think is always forgotten is Kevin Johnson for the Suns.
Rik Smits and Arvydas Sabonis too. Of course we're in the lower tiers now compared to the big 4 (Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Ewing)

Hell, Yao Ming.

I don't think Elmore "The Rejector" Smith ever won one.

Neither did Dick Van Arsdale, Truck Robinson, Garfield Heard and Alvan Adams.
