Stanford's greatest upset

For Stanford this is an easy one. Our epic 41-point underdog upset of #1 USC in 2007. Second for me is on Jan 1, 1971 when we beat #2 Ohio State costing them a Nat Championship as #1 Tex lost a few hours before. Damn that one felt real good!

Off the top of my head I'll say Nebraska over Oklahoma in 1978. (I don't know who was favored, just assuming it was OU)

Nebraska turned around and lost to Missouri the following week and then got re-matched with Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl where Oklahoma where they lost the 2nd time.

No my team but the biggest upset I have come across is in 1981 when GT ended the season 1-10. The lone win was in week 2 over an Alabama team that ended the season #7!

I think Mizzou's football legacy is finding a way not to get the big upset. Mizzou's basketball program is the one that has big upsets in the regular season and gets upset in March Madness

Obviously subjective. But to me Nebraska had beaten the #2, #3, and #4 teams in the final polls. It set the stage for the next 30 years of Husker football.
