Damn. That is a lot fuel right there.

Don't remember the 2002 upset, remind me of the stage.

OU was #1.
A&M struggled all year.
RC Slocum recently replaced the OC with Kevin Sumlin.
Reggie McNeal replaced struggling QB Dustin Long.
A&M won 30-26.

THEN

A&M Fired RC Slocum and hired Coach Fran.
Coach Fran took probably one of the best passing QB's in Reggie McNeal and had him run the option for the rest of his college career.
OU got their revenge the following year 77-0 at home with their new TE Coach Kevin Sumlin.

Thus marking the beginning the next decade shitty football.

Really? Interesting...

That was a big upset. Nebraska was gonna get a mulligan on their earlier season loss to Arizona St. Win and they play for the NC.

Nebraska was a big favorite.

biggest upset 1985 vs #1 ranked Iowa thought they could come into the Horseshoe and win

yes I know the win over the U was massive but I was at the above mentioned game so take it for what it is worth, I was 13 man surrounded by inebriated college chicks in the student section other than Ohio State there was only one thing harder to beat that day take a guess what it was.

biggest upset for a team over Ohio State
based on sheer magnitude

I was at that game you fucking assholes............ ruined our season - no not over it. Buckeyes were winning late in the 3rd quarter I think 23-9 and ........

Cooper actually went on to win out beating michigan and winning the bowl game. would've been Nchamps......

Upset loss - Losing to Air Force in the Liberty Bowl. OSU did not even want to be there, and they played like it.

Upset win - 1988 LSU at OSU - crappy year. went 4-6-1, but they beat LSU. highlight of the season.

UH 45-35 win at Sillwater in '09 is probably the best I remember. Not sure what the spread was, but I'm pretty sure we were close to three TD dogs.

Very nearly pulled a nice upset at UCF last week, before failing to convert first and goal in the final minute. Hopefully we partially make amends with an upset at Louisville tomorrow night.

Biggest upset has to be over Oklahoma in 1957 ending their 47 game winning streak. On a more modern game, the 2004 game against a top 10 Tennessee team on the road when ND was unranked comes to mind.

Biggest upset loss has to be against Boston College in 1993. That game had to have cost a National Championship. But I was only like 5 at the time, so it doesn't upset me one iota. Don't even remember watching the game, if I had to guess I'd say I didn't watch it all.

Hey it was a good win for us. That was the first year that I was a MSU fan (my freshman year of college there) and I remember ditching my family at a restaurant to watch the final 2 minutes of the game in the bar. Those ribs and shrimp never tasted better than that night.

I know being undefeated and #2 in the nation hardly is the typical "upset" underdog.

2005 USC was viewed like 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami prior to kickoff.
2 Heismans
34 game win streak longest in NCAA history
ranked #1 for nearly 3 years
playing in their homefield in LA
fresh memories of 55-19 last time someone dared challenge them

2005 USC had a professionally done half hour show with 10 episodes ESPN special all bowl season long comparing them to the greatest college teams ever assembled.

Some of the most respected minds in college football would weigh in on the greatness of 2005 USC for 30 minutes each day.

So, yes it was an EPIC UPSET pulled off by the #2 ranked team in the country.
