Argue the "best" all you want. The deepest is not up for debate. The SEC has six teams in the top 12 of the polls? Congratulations. The rest of the SEC's record against those six teams: 0-30. Not a single win by the bottom eight teams in the SEC against the top six.

The SEC has one real good team (Bama) , two good teams (USC but over rated and UGA), two kind of good teams (aTm, LSU) and a bunch of crap.

USC isn't over rated, they lost their Heisman candidate RB and their QB. You left out UF, who may not havemuch of an offense but they may have they best D in the country.

I'm an A&M grad and they beat us (admittedly early) fair and square, so they get the nod until we get another crack at them. They are still above .500, so above average.
