I thought I heard someone say that the Tampa game was the targeted return for Bennett. I could have heard that wrong, though.

i think they are in wait and see mode. We know they will not rush him back because they never do that with injured players. Also he did have surgery so i would expect at least another 3 weeks. So Panthers or GB is what i would guess.

Wow. All that just to avoid admitting that you were wrong.

thing is i am not wrong. But i get it you got a man crush on Bennett good for you. I had one of those when he made our team as a undrafted rookie as a pass rush specialist from the inside ( DT )then was cut in October.

Cool, thank you! I'm fine with holding him out till he's a 100% healthy. Need him healthy for the end of the year run.

Yea you were. You've painted it so many ways since your initial argument to appear like maybe you're right, and you probably believe in your pretzel logic. But the Hawks weren't struggling on third down early in the season, and until you accept that truth, you'll continue to be oh so wrong.

I guess 12th, I wonder if Bennett and Avril don't care (and are tight), then why do you?

Im pretty pumped for Sunday.....getting to be that time of year!

Want to see the Seahawks offense continue being explosive against a good Eagle defense. Think Prosise is going to have a good day catching passes and turning them into big plays. Also hoping Lockett starts being a bigger part of the offense, that would be a nice boost to the offense.

you mean when Kam was playing earlier in the season? yeah they were not struggling. smh. As the talent they have played against increased so did the issues.

Sorry Kam brings more to the success of this defense than Bennett. Like it or not thats just the flat out truth.

Here lets make it easier for some of you.
Passing first down average with and with out Kam

W/O Kam 16 per game average ( passing first downs )
With Kam 9.8 per Game Average ( passing first downs )
almost 40% better with Kam.

Like i said the dink and dunk passing game was killing the Hawks not so much when Kam is there. Bennett's effect is only 2% ( 40%> 2% )
Bennett has a better effect on Rushing first downs but on rushing downs with out Kam it also goes up more than it does with out Bennett.
end of thread.

Yes, Kam played in those games. But that does not negate your false statement that they were struggling on third down at that same time. Why you've turned it in to a Kam vs Bennett thing is beyond me. Nobody ever said that Kam wasn't an important piece because he is, and his absence has certainly contributed to the third down struggles. But truthfully you thought their struggles on third down went back to the early part of the season, so you said so. And no matter how much you move the goalposts or accuse me of marginalizing Kam or putting bennett on a pedestal, that statement will never be correct.

And lol @ 'kam is 40% of the defense and Bennett is 2%'. That's just nonsense.

That Eagles front 7 is real good so it would be nice to see Rawls and Prosise combo for some good yards. I think we'll see Seattle take multiple shots with Lockett and Graham deep down field since the Eagles secondary isn't that good.

Was listening to Clayton's podcast, and they were talking about the pressure Philly can get, so I expect more quick hitters than deep stuff. So lots of Baldwin and hopefully Lockett ad Procise on 3 step drops.

That's the thing about having Lockett, Richardson, Kearse and Baldwin - we run plenty of deep patterns on 3 step drops. It seems counter intuitive - but Russell has the knack of throwing perfect rainbows on these patterns and letting these speedy WRs run under them. Every time I think the Hawks are gonna run traditional quick hitting routes underneath as a game plan - they find a weakness I hadn't seen and they exploit it.

One thing we have going for us in this matchup with the front 7 of Philly - Seattle has played some really good front 7s already.

Us winning like we are, I think helps the coaches w/ their decision to hold him out of games as long as they can to ensure he's 100%... Especially if we win again today... If it was up to Bennett, he'd probably rather be out there on the field... If we win today, I wouldn't be surprised to see him return when we play at home against Carolina...
