No trolling Rich. I'm not sure how you can't see it. Glennon sucks and the rookie needs to start. I don't care if he makes a few mistakes. Rookies do. He'll learn and get better. Glennon starting helps this team in no way, and gives us no chance of winning.
I'm not sure if he is serious or not. Glennon absolutely does not suck and he absolutely gives the Bears a chance to win.

Glennon is clearly head-and-shoulders ahead of Trubisky at the moment. This is not even debatable.

For christ sake, Trubisky was handed the full playbook for the first time yesterday and couldn't even get his pre-snap reads in without the play clock expiring on him. He's not there yet. He was quite lost against and with the 1's, and once again lit up the scrubs in the 4th. That's where he's at right now, and that's fine. He can beat up on the lower level NFL guys, and is not yet caught up to the speed of first-team NFL players.

When he is, he will and should start. Glennon is not our future, he's nobodies future. However, so long as Glennon is ahead of Trubisky, starting the kid is completely useless. There is no need to rush Trubisky onto the field. He's 22... a handful of September/October games in his rookie season, means nothing in the big picture of his career. Dot the i's and cross the t's, and let's make sure he's comfortable out there.

This team and this coaching staff have been at it for 3 years now and they want to win. They owe it to themselves to put the QB out there who gives them the best chance to win now, which is clearly Glennon. In a couple months, maybe even just one month... that will change. It's inevitable, but for now... it is not even that close.

Trub demonstrated perfectly yesterday, how the average fan just doesn't get it... If that's an arrogant statement, so be it. It's true.

It's not even the Glennon stuff that is weird to me with Noon. He struggled most of the pre-season, I can at least say that I understand where he's coming from with that.

It's the blatant dishonesty or delusional line of thinking. Which does not allow him to acknowledge many of the factors that went into Trub's pre-season success. Playing against the 2's and 3's mostly. Running a limited/dumbed down version of the playbook, and only having to make single or half-field reads the first two games. Teams not game planning for him, disguising coverage's or blitzes.

Only for one quarter, being the 3rd quarter yesterday. Did they take the training wheels off of Trub vs a first team NFL defense, and he was noticeably flustered and behind the 8-ball. The struggle was real.

Trub has gotten me VERY excited this pre-season, I am very pumped up about the kid's potential. However, I'm not willing to go full-on "fan-girl" because he lit up some future CFL and Arena players. Can't do it...

What can we bet? I'm not leaving and I don't want you guys leaving. Just bet to see who is right. We'll remember. One QB is far and away better. I have no doubt the coaches see what everyone else does. I post on 3 boards and You and Rich are alone in your Glennon is the better option statements. Very very alone.

I'm sure there are varying opinions on the story line surrounding our QBs, and rich07 and I are not alone in our thinking but the fact remains, and it's simple to see, Glennon will start the opener against Atlanta. I, like everyone else is extremely excited about Trubisky but I'm certainly not nieve enough to think he has supplanted Glennon yet.

Glennon has had 1 ok drive this whole preseason. 1 and even that was kinda lame with a few short passes over the middle. Trubs has lit it up from day one in training camp. Every player on the Bears would pick Trubs to lead them, none would pick MG. You say Trubs failed with the No.1s I say MG has. Trubs is not supplanting Glennon, Glennon is forcing the Bears to change the plan.

Oh no... Don't tell me you actually believe that Trub is going to start. LMAO. There isn't a chance in hell that you're not trolling. It's impossible. It's been decided, there was never really even a question and Fox did nothing but praise Glennon yesterday.

I would bet my house on Glennon starting, with nothing but absolute confidence.

You're a fan-girl.

If Trub's had that same performance Glennon did vs the one's, you'd be putting together his HOF induction view-party.

Says the same guy who denied Bears fans ever booed Trub at the Bulls game, and denied any Bears fans disliked the pick.

Lol... you're delusional.

I'm not even alone in this thread! :pound:

I'll bet whatever you put up Noon, but I feel bad... it's like betting on a sporting event that already happened. It's over. lol

Glennon will likely start, but that's not to say noon doesn't have a point. Glennon quite literally has one good series this preseason, and it was the opening drive this last week, which as we all know, was full of scripted plays and game-planning. (Which adds benefit of the doubt or doubt, depending on your perspective.)

Prior to that drive, Glennon was putrid. He had played about as poorly as one could prior to the Titans game. Week 2 was OK, but the redzone pick was just awful, and likely should've/could've gone the other way for six.

I am of the opinion that Glennon will have a short leash, and that he will not be able stave off the rookie for long.
