He was off too much those first 2 drives considering they were with the 1st string offense.

I think he was like 3/7 with the 1's and his completions were checkdowns mostly, and he hit a DB square in the hands.

With chaos attempting to run the offense to boot.

Dude... it was bad.

Meh. I have seen many worse starts from entrenched starters.

10/15 for 128 yds, a 66.7 pct, 8.53 per attempt, 1TD, 115.4 rating

What a shitty day.

I'm not saying he's a demigod er nothing, but he's as good as Glennon. Much better athlete, with zero doubt.

Glennon needs a perfect pocket for the most part.

Dude... there's no way you're being serious right now.

Please tell me that you're not this dishonest of a person.

I'll let you figure this out on your own

Trubisky in the 3rd quarter when Tennessee still had their 1's in...

2 Drives
1 First down

2/5 40% CMP 24 yards 1 fumble, 1 delay of game, 1 timeout wasted and 1 DB hit squarely in the hands...

It was a chaotic rookie performance. Which is to be expected, but stop being delusional. Christ... It's okay that he didn't play well.

He's not ready, and that's FINE. He will be.

The drama is you two fan-girls acting like Mitch Trubisky is doing something special by beating up on future construction workers.

Trubisky in the 3rd quarter with the 1's, and against Tennessee's 1's...

2 Drives
1 First down

2/5 40% CMP 24 yards 1 fumble, 1 delay of game, 1 timeout wasted and 1 DB hit squarely in the hands...

He played poorly, and had zero control over the situation when he had the training wheels taken off with the first team. Which is fine, but this fan-girl shit needs to stop.

So far, this is what the board has turned into pertaining to Mitch.

1's is disingenous. Is Shaheen a 1? Pretty sure he started at TE with him.

He had a shitty first series. I saw a blown pick up on a blitz. I saw his foot get stepped on. I saw lackluster time management, and I saw one poor decision that should've been a pick.

He IS a rookie, and it WAS his first time against starters with limited reps in practice.

He will continue to improve, while Glennon's ceiling is visible.

You can say what you want, but it will be difficult keeping him off the filed, IMO.

Yes. Shaheen has been mixing in with the 1's all pre-season. Especially on two TE sets, which we've been deploying quite a bit of.

He IS a rookie, and it WAS his first time against starters with limited reps in practice.

Why are you explaining this to me? Why...?

See above response

Yes, I love Trubisky and I believe he can be our QB until 2030 or so. However, he demonstrated that he's not quite there yet today. That's all. Glennon is quite a bit ahead of him right now. That will not last, but that is the case right now. Glennon is far more prepared to be an NFL starter, at the moment. He will start week 1, as he should. That's all this is...

Nobody is beating up on Trub. He SHOULD have struggles at this point. It's expected.

Tennessee's 1's looked pretty bad. From their D, right down to Mariota looking horribly inaccurate. You can bet they got their asses reamed in the locker room at halftime. They came out fired up. I mean, did you see their o-lineman headbutting his helmet after the 1's finally got in the endzone against our 2's?

You are acting like he, and he alone, completely shit the bed. He started slow, as did the rest of the offense. He has room to improve, and has the skillset and mindset to be special.

Fuck Bears fans for being excited about the potential tho, huh?

I'd rather be a fan boy, than a miserable cunt.

I guess I'm a firm believer in on-the-job training. I struggle with the idea of conceding a season for the future.

Lol, yes... They were "fired up". How unfair. That's not a part of the game! Also clearly why he couldn't get his pre-snap reads done in time!

You are acting like he, and he alone, completely shit the bed. He started slow, as did the rest of the offense.

No, I'm not. I've been very fair to Mitch. He struggled with the 1's. I've expressed how much I like him many times.

Meeting your child-like enthusiasm with level-head unbiased conversation, does not make me the bad guy.

He has room to improve, and has the skillset and mindset to be special.

Yeah, I've said this about 200 times. Stop re-iterating it. I've never disputed it.

I'd rather be a fan boy, than a miserable ****.

This says more about you than me. Outside of the Meredith injury, I have done nothing but praise the team today.

Not meeting your child-like Trub enthusiasm, does not automatically make me a c u n t. If that's how you view those who do not share your opinion, that is unbelievably juvenile. Be a big boy...

Glennon is ahead of Trub right now. Conceding a season would be playing Trub, and sacrificing losses just to rush him onto the field.

This is quite typical. lol. Not much to see here. The group on this board has been doing this for years. Some of us have been doing this for over a decade together.

It doesn't matter. Trubisky will play sooner than later.

True, but to throw him to the Atlanta defense in the first game of the season would not be wise. He wasn't ready for the Titans first string defense...... Glennon will start and Trubisky will back up. He looks like he is ,asking great strides but he isn't quite there yet. He is giving us glimpses though and soon he will be ready. I'm confident in Glennon to lead the team until the "savior" is ready

Glennon has been just short of terrible up to today's game. Today was the first time game-planning, and it showed. I thought the o-line did a tremendous job in pass protection early on, and I think good play-calling aided that. Glennon was very accurate and poised in the pocket. His long ball is non existant, and if the pocket breaks down, there isn't much to expect from him. He is an above-average, serviceable QB with limited range.

Sky's the limit for Trubisky.

He's a statue, no doubt. However, a lot of great QB's have been. He's also hard to bring down, as evident by his best pass of the day to Cam Meredith, where he was hit as he threw.

He completed quite a few long passes today, so I think there's definitely upside outside of just being a game-manager type. We won't really know until a couple weeks in how we're going to game-plan the offense with him.

No one thinks Glennon is this team's long-term guy... nobody.

The way our defense and run game has looked to this point. A game-manager might even be able play winning football for us this year.

God... I wish we didn't have this ridiculous 1st half schedule.

Noon, I'm convinced you've taken on a troll persona... This is getting out of hand.
No trolling Rich. I'm not sure how you can't see it. Glennon sucks and the rookie needs to start. I don't care if he makes a few mistakes. Rookies do. He'll learn and get better. Glennon starting helps this team in no way, and gives us no chance of winning.
