I just want to make sure that it is clear that is someone puts down a City based only on their own personal opinion, and someone from that City tries to refute it, then that person will be labeled a crybaby everytime.

And San Jose can't be a good hockey city if Jeff Dunham takes precedence over a game.

Wow, you have a hard time letting things go. Fair enough, Buffalo is better than SJ in every aspect imagineable.

IPW - the point I raised about failure was not to put down Buffalo, it was to emphasize the fans have been strong despite that. Something many cities, my own included, cannot boast. We have fair weather fans AND failure!

I was just laughing at the way your post came off is all.

You give congrats to Canada and then follow it up by saying they aren't good at anything else, and then say Buffalo has great fans even though the team is a failure.

I just found it funny since you really didn't need to follow it up in that way is all.

I got the point just fine.....in that you can't base a hockey town off of one isolated incident. However your post was steeped in bitterness. You seem to have missed my point though.....and I even wrote it in English.

Was it so wrong to challenge someone's opinion of a City's commitment to Hockey after they say they are disappointed in the City's fans just because of what they see based on an IIHF game?

I would think anyone would do the same if it was their City and they are passionate about Hockey? Or am I wrong?

I guess it's just easier to call someone a crybaby when you really don't have a leg to stand on to back up your opinion that you throw out there?

Times New Roman is known to be particularly harsh and alienating. I think that's why it's so widely used in essays.

I'm from Buffalo and see the passion for Hockey all the time. Of course I'm going to go on a defensive posture about comments like that, who wouldn't?

It was interpreted that way I guess. I didn't mean it that way at all. I said we win a lot, NOT we beat Canada a lot or that Canada is a bunch of losers. And I'm an American, so I explained it b/c otherwise it might not make sense.

I think that's okay, and my apologies if I offended any Canadians.

I'm not looking to laugh AT people, unlike some.
