Who knows how it all went down, and what the exact numbers are?
I just know that no matter how it looks, Buffalo is still a great Hockey town no matter what people think.
Im not trying to pile on your city ... about 2/3rds of the ticket packages were sold to cdns ... like i said in the previous post this tournament is a tsn creation ... the marketing machine has built this tournament up to obscene levels for canadians when, in reality, when you take a step back, the competition level aside from 5 maybe 6 teams isnt entirely magical
The fact that all those red-clad fans have turned Buffalo into a Canadian city for 11 days shouldn’t surprise anybody who’s been paying attention. When Grand Forks, N.D., hosted the tournament in 2005, Canadians travelling from Manitoba filled the arenas.
“We expected Canadians to be a big part of this and we welcome them,” said Buffalo tournament public relations director Michael Gilbert.
Canadians have purchased 64 per cent of the 12,100 all-inclusive passes and Gilbert estimates that they have accounted for a similar portion of the 320,000 tickets sold to date.
Anyone else notice that you can't have a non-sequitur without "quit"?
At least you took the time to post information to go off of instead of just saying that you are disappointed in the City of Buffalo.
I never doubted that Canadians would represent their team in large numbers given the situation.
I'm dissapointed in the City of Buffalo but it has nothing to do with this tournament.
I won't get into it here but it knows what it did...
In all fairness, you did ask someone to explain what a Buffalo Knuckle Sandwich with a Tossed Salad on the side is.
Late night at Denny's isn't for everyone.

Too late?
