Congrats to Canada on the win. It's nice when the U.S. wins, but we win at enough shit that I'm almost more happy for Canada when they do b/c it means much more to them.

Sounds like nobody knows the context or extent of the booing (or sketchily at best), but I know Buffalo has incredible fans who have showed up to support their teams despite years of failure. It's a stone's throw from Canada and a day trip from several major Canadian cities. The fact that Canada came out should be no surprise at all.

I wasn't saying we should GIVE the Canadians the game, but it just makes me happy for them. I just don't think there is much difference between the countries aside from them maybe being a little nicer/more laid back and maybe governing themselves a little more responsibly.

As for the fans of Buffalo, Buffalo has failed time and again, no? (I'd say the same of the Caps) Nothing the fans can do about that, but they continue to support their teams, and there is something very honorable in that.
