BALTIMORE, MD - The Baltimore Orioles continued their winning ways this time coming from behind to defeat the visiting New York Yankees in AL East play. This is the third win in a row for the birds.
Orioles creates starting pitcher UGA was on the bump for this one and looked good early but appeared to have tired midway through the fifth inning. Throwing beach balls to the Yankee hitters, the Orioles fell behind and the outcome looked bleak.
"I felt good early then started to tire around the fifth inning. This is the first baseball game I have ever played. Remember I was just someone who was posting on a message board before the season started" UGA said "I don't know my limits yet which makes things hard on everyone" he added.
The Yankees jumped out to a 5-1 lead on the 6th inning when Showalter called to the pen.
"I am not a UNC fan but I am a fan of UNCfan" Showalter said "That makes sense if you know what I am talking about" he said. UGA was lifted for relief pitcher 103 UNCfan who stopped the bleeding and did what he needed to do to keep his team in it.
It was in the 7th inning with the score 5-4 that the power bats of the Orioles came alive.
Back-to-back jacks from Recon and Husker1217 gave the Orioles the lead for good although the pen tried to give it back to the Yankees.
"I was just looking for a pitch to hit" Huskers1217 said "I got it and I sent it over the fence. It felt good" he added.
The Yankees are in town for two more. The Orioles would be in good shape early if they can win just one of them.
