Yanks, Pineda Blank O's

BALTIMORE, MD - The New York Yankees behind an impressive pitching performance by Michael Pineda, blank the hometown Baltimore Orioles 3-0 to take the second game of the three game series.

The Yankees got all of their runs in the first inning off of Oakie and then protected the lead the rest of the way behind their big pitcher.

"We were getting hits but they were mostly singles" Mark OU said "He was real tough out there tonight but luckily we still have 100+ games to go" he added.

The Orioles (3-2) had something going at one point when Wyo hit a double with no outs in the fourth inning or so (I can't remember). The rest of the team fell flat and left the son of a bitch at second the whole time.

"I was thrilled that I was given a pitch to hit" Wyo said "I wasn't thrilled standing at second the rest of the time only looking at Pineda's ass" he added.

The Orioles have one more home game against these Yankees before taking it to the road against the Blue Jays.

Upstate NY gets the nod for the rubber game of this series.

Orioles Shutout Yanks to Take Series

PHOTO NOT AVAILABLE
BALTIMORE, MD - It was the Baltimore Orioles turn as they shutout the New York Yankees in the final game of the three game series by the exact same 3-0 score as the last game.

Upstate NY was the first pitcher to get his second start this season and picked up where he left off from the season opener although this time with better result. NY went seven innings without allowing a run.

"It was great" Upstate NY said "I got some offense and the defense when needed bailed me out when I made a mistake although there weren't many of those" he added.

"The kid looked good" Showalter said "He needs to get better command of his pitches but so far I like what I see" he added.

The Orioles got on the board in the fifth inning when rookie Recon hit his second homer of the season this time a two-run blast.

"Opposite field power bitches" Recon said "I was just protecting the plate with two strikes and I was able to send the pitch into the stands" he added.

The Orioles seemed to be impatient at the plate but when asked the common answer was just wanting the AB to be over because Kuroda's delivery takes a month and a half and there just wasn't enough time in the day to be patient.

The Orioles are heading north of the border to take on another divisonal foe. The Toronto Blue Jays.

COT DAMNIT! I'm in a three game hitless streak. Hopefully I can get out of this slump in Toronto.
