Baldwin gets second round tender

Doug Baldwin was given a second round tender today as a restricted free agent.

This means every other team has a chance to make an offer for him, but Seattle has right of first refusal and has 5 days to counter the offer. If they do not and he leaves the team who gets him must give us a second round draft pick in exchange. If he does not sign elsewhere he will receiver a 2.187 million dollar contract for 2014.

Looks like he'll be a Seahawk next year IMO.

I can't see too many teams ponying up a 2nd round pick for Baldwin considering how deep the draft is at WR this year and also the fact that the Niners got a guy like Boldin for a 6th round pick I think.

Suits me. I love Baldwin. Now lets get Tate locked in and we're almost set. Harvin, Tate, Baldwin, Lockette, and Kearse. Maybe get another guy in the draft or even a decent FA and we should have the WR position covered nicely.
