Is there a more delusional fanbase than Michigan? Citing their predicting a win, means nothing.

Put your beer down Tennessee fans, stop trying to be more delusional than Michigan fans about the state of your program.

Well, they had a nice run with Peters and they were peaking at that time so they had some fake confidence coming into the game which was destroyed by the Badgers.

IDK why anyone is talking about Tennessee as a top program. The last time I ever heard a thing about them was when Peyton Manning carried their asses for a few years. They're a good program but are rarely in the top 5 or even top ten. Michigan is more relevant since they do have a proven coach with solid recruiting classes but have yet to put together a year good enough to make the CFP. They have the potential to fight for the CFP but Tennessee isn't even mentioned as a potential candidate to make the CFP and haven't been since the CFP started.

Fake confidence is Michigan’s thing though. Maybe you missed how they were going to win a Natty after OKorn took over in the Purdue game?

Yeah, they didn't realize Okornhole was even worse than Speight. I think they're in good hands with Peters though. The dude doesn't throw interceptions and is probably more mobile than the other two. With that defense that should be enough to get them over the top eventually. Yes, Speight and Okornhole were dreadful and they did have too much confidence in a young team with no QB. I still like them next year to take over the East and if they don't finally win the East then it might be time for Harblaugh to step down.

Peters had one good game, I’m not ready to anoint him to the status of a legit QB.

From what I seen from him vs us I liked him way more than Speight or Okornhole. Just him not throwing int's and having a little ability to run and a decent passer I think that's all they need. I wouldn't annoint him as a great college QB but I think he's good enough to be a game manager which is all they need at Michigan.

All BIG teams for SPT's and defense was announced

Badgers have 3 1rst team ALL BIG TEAM CB Nelson, MLB Edwards and S Dixon
4 Second Team DE Alec James, DE Conor Sheehy, OLB Dooley, K Rafael
1 Third Team with CB Tindal
5 honorable mention: MLB Connelly, S Ferguson, OLB Jacobs, S Jamerson DT Olive: Connelly and Ferguson are backups that played due to injuries. Personally I believe Connelly and Jamerson are at least second teamers.

Overall, that's 12 from the defense players that made 1rst-through honroable mention which is the entire team plus a backup.

Also, Paul Chryst might win coach of the year and Jim Leonhard is a candidate for coaching specialist of the year.

OSU

2 First team
2 second team
2 third team 3 third team SPT's
4 Honorable mention

That's 10 total defensive players to make the All BIG 1rst through honorable mention team. They have no coaching specialist up for an award and Myer won't be up for coach of the year after he had his worst regular season ever with OSU having 2 loses already.

@Across The Field told me OSU will win because they have more talent and better coaches. Hmmm, the awards, production, and records don't agree with you buddy.
They do have more talent and better coaches. Its funny you use the B1G COTY as any kind of gauge.

Umm, Paul might end up as the National COY and Jim Leonhard might end up winning the NCAA coaching specialist of the year. Both are the favorites with a 12-0 team and having the best statistical defense in the country and one of the best statistical defenses in recent history.

Now time to prove they can beat a real team with real talent.

And monkeys might fly out of your ass. Not only using B1G COTY but "might" as a way to justify any argument is a laugh.

I didn't say BIG COY I said national coach of the year. I also combined that with Jim Leonhard winning coaching specialist of the year. It takes a great supporting cast of coaches and not just a great coach. Nick Saban seems to always have great specialists around him.

I'm fairly certain Michigan was a real team with real talent and coaching. I mean you guys were losing 20-14 with a minute left in the third with JT as your QB and Okorhole as their QB. Again, I think your misguided confidence comes from your recruiting classes and not the actual production on the field.

You're probably right. I mean, we've won 71 games in just under 6 years with Urban, and we've also won 4 in a row/7 of our last 8 against Wisconsin. But yeah, you're probably right. It's all the recruiting classes.

I mean, it's not like good recruiting classes usually even equate to good teams, right?

No national anywhere. Regardless my monkeys comment stands.

That's great and all but that's not this year. This is by far OSU's worst team under Myer and their worst record. Those past games in previous years mean nothing for this game with these teams right now since the teams change so drastically from year to year.

No recruiting classes don't always equate to good teams. FSU had a monster recruiting class last year and they might not even be bowl eligible. Texas A & M was 13th and they might fire their HC. Tennessee was 17th and they already fired their HC. UCLA, Oregon, and Nebraska were all in the top 25 for recruiting but struggled this year. It takes more than solid recruiting classes which aren't even 100% indicators and they undervalue some of the kids from small schools or lesser known high schools. The coaching staff, development, workout program, system, culture, the kid's drive/motivation, are all factors that these rating systems don't take into account for the next level. Again, Wisconsin's walk on program is the best in the country and continually brings in some very talented players (Jim Leonhard, JJ Watt, Ryan Connelly, Chris Borland, Jarredd Abbreederis, and many more). Those are not factored in either. Also, school transfers are not factored into the ratings either.

Overall, the recruiter ratings are nice but are not even close to a guarantee that the team will be good or even the players themselves. They miss out on many players that turn out to be stars, they don't factor in the walk ons, they don't factor in transfers, etc. I care more about players becoming 1rst team all BIG/ All Americans than I do in recruiting 5/4 star recruits.
