Ok I will bite again. We signed Choo which I think made it tougher but Cruz turned us down once most likely multiple times
Lol at the turn down for the QO. There was a ton of time to sign him after that QO turn down. Lolololol

actually the JD fan club argument more closely relates to castellanos then rendon since actually acquiring rendon was a harder lift.

we could’ve been much more aggressive and threw a lot of money at castellanos similar to Nelson Cruz and both deals probably would’ve worked out, but for some reason the front office didn’t try very hard to get either one.
Casttellanos and Rendon are so far apart in their worth though. Very far.

Has Joey increased his walk rate?
It is lower than last year, but higher than the two previous seasons. His strikeout rate has decreased by a bigger margin this year than his walk rate has decreased though. So far, that is.

Either one would’ve helped this lineup out quite a bit.
My sights were and are set in who can help us win a WS in a few years and not necessarily who can help us improve immediately. Rendon could have done both. He would have gotten us closer to the WS goal than Castellanos.

The other player I liked beside Rendon was Mookie Betts but Betts contract is ridiculous.

Tatis, Jr. is very scary.

I'd rather pay Betts what he's getting than pay Rendon what he's getting.

Sorry to bring bad tidings but you are not going to see a WS under current GM and owners. Cruz Odor Fielder and A-Rod are examples why. Others I'm sure that I can't remember. Not meaning to be negative but I have come to realize that some things are likely never to happen and this is one of those times.

I didn't really look at Rendon's. I see his is 7 years $245 mill with a no trade or opt out clause. Betts is 12 years and $365 mill extension beginning in 2021. He turned down a 10 year $300 mill with Boston. But from what I understand they are paying it out to Betts over the next 24 years beginning next year.

Seems unreal that baseball has led to this. What ever happened to Dizzy Dean and Falstaff beer.

The cost of doing business keeps going up. Some will keep up, and others will get left behind.

Yes I watched it all and much overreaction. An embarrassment of a look for the Rangers that perpetuates excuse making mentality. Wonder how FO handles. And our TV announcers too. SMH
I didn't see it but I do not have a problem with it. Make your pitches and don't fall behind 3-0. I say the hitter should do what he normally would do regardless of the score.

Falstaff beer? Hahaha! That is going back. Sports in general has gotten way out of hand. But it is what it is.

Agree. Control your own destiny and not expect the other team to feel sorry for you. We should be embarrassed the way we have been playing.
