Sure, this is winnable. The La game could of went either way. We were expected to beat the Giants and Falcons and lose to the Bills. So 2-2 right now is where we should be. I had us beating the Chargers but was on the fence. If we win the games we supposed to win, 10-7 is not a crazy prediction. A loss against the Saints throws a big wrench in things. Plus, no one predicted that we would of lost Fitz in the 2nd qtr in the first game of the year.
Where do you see this team winning 8 games with what's left of the schedule?

BTW: losing Fitz was actually good fortune for this team. ( I really hated typing that) with Fitz, this team is 0-4.

the odd and bizarre
-so the D still disappoints but finally makes a few key stops
-Carter breaks a TD for STs, while Hopkins misses 2 extra points
-heiny throws a dangerous pass as he is practically on his back to Terry who is double covered yet manages to haul in the ball for a TD
-Samuel returns from injury and then we get so many more, who knows how bad - Sherff, Logan, Bostic, Allen, Mctyre, Gibson
-Heiny finding JD for yet another crazy pylon TD to win

Football is crazy.

thankful for the win

Great play. Question: would any of you have been surprised if he had fumbled into the endzone? I didn’t follow Washington football much before Alex Smith, but it seems like that would’ve happened in the past, just from watching bad luck throughout the years, though your bad luck has seemed to be injuries more than on the field mistakes?

Interesting game, somebody had to win it, so now they are 2 for 2 in games like this. (Giants, Falcons)

I feel you guys are close to being good. It seems like the two years before teams challenge, they first get to the playoffs, and then they win tossup games. Now, it’s just about stringing games together.

Yep. Could it be that last year's defense was the mirage and this year's defense is who they reallyu are. Heiney is a gamer, that doesn't change the fact that he was again late on a few throws and extremely lucky on a couple others that should've been picks including one that might've went for 100+ yards.

On the plus side. It was great ti finally seee one of tyhe newbie WRs actually do something of substance. Very sweet KO RET TD from Carter

The problem is we've seen this movie before. Teams start off bad, continues to stay shakey throughout mid-season. They then get gritty, rally around one another and finish the year strong to win a not so good NFC East. Get ass paddled out of the playoffs with a quickness. Leaving the fan-base hopeful that they've finally turned a corner and are on the way back to respectability and possibly, hopefully, something more.

Year 2 rolls around, posters are excited about draft picks, FA pick ups, the HC is talking a good game etc. Opening day arrives and its like the team that finished the season last year has been pod peopled. There's players out there wearing the same numbers from last year, but they aren't doing the same things they were doing at the end of last year.

What makes this year particularly frustrating is the coaching and play on the defensive side of the ball. Jack Del Rio has turned into Greg Manusky or Jim Haslett. Plain vanilla schemes, no blitzing, playing way too soft in zone, ill timed penalties, no discipline very few turn overs, shitty tackling, and most frustrating of all. can't get off the damn field on 3rd dn. And the really shitty is it happens in some form or another every year after the Skins make the playoffs. You could literally set clocks by this shit.

Saints, Broncos, Panthers, Seahawks, Raiders, Giants, Eagles(2). Maybe we can steal one from Dallas. Even if Dallas sweeps us, still possible 10 win season.

funny you should ask that. I remember some of those fumbles in the end zones - still hate that rule. not this year, apparel\ntly we are the king of pylon dive TDs.

Have you seen some of those teams play. If the defense doesn't greatly improve. The Skins are not winning 8 of those games. as it stands now. Bridgewater, Darnold, Wilson, Carr, Jones (already has once), Hurts and Prescott will break their foot knee deep in the ass of the Skins defense. Jameis probably will to though I haven't seen him play yet. Those other QBs though....they will mob all over the Skins defense.
