nice way for you kids to highjack a thread. No wonder I don't waste much time here

As mentioned in the Rangers - Flyers thread, Ray Ferraro was sure giving it to Rick Nash last night (and to a lesser extent Brad Richards). Zuccarello and Hagelin are showing the most jam and push back, it's good to have the young guys going, but you need the vets in game 7.

Johnny, it appears a Rangers fan started this thread. As far as the Nash bashing is concerned, we are regurgitating what Ray Ferraro is saying on TSN (you know, a guy who's between the benches and is watching the games). Nash was invisible last night and I did watch last night's game from start to finish.
Brad Richards right now has 6 points in 6 games, guy has one bad game and all is forgotten, less we forget how he won game 1 practically on his own on that 4-minute PP? This is why I start to question whether or not people actually watch the games or just check the scoreboard at the end to see if a player was on it or not, just to bash him.
Richards, outside of last night, has been the 2nd best forward on the team behind Martin St Louis. Bet everybody loved him when he scored in game 5 to make it 2-0...
Nash has been invisible all series long, i'm not arguing against that. Yeah he has 30 or so shots on net through 6 games, but i'd say maybe 5 at most have been quality scoring chances. If he showed up in game 6 like he did in the final 2 minutes of game 5, we wouldn't be bashing him. I just wish he would give us the effort he did aginst the Jackets that game, every night with us, then there would be no problem. We all know he's capable of it, idk why he wont.
If there was ever a time to quiet his haters down and show up, it would be tonight. Game 7, in your home arena, in front of the greatest fans in the world. On the brightest stage in the world. That arena will be rocking tonight. He needs to feed off that energy and get himself going
the 2nd best forward on the team that was just humiliated in an elimination game is nothing to write home about. This is the time the so called leaders and players decide games. I watched every second of that game last nite and Richards was non existent. It's called leading and he can't do it. You watched last nite how Philly is up 4-0 this game is over after 2 and they are still physically pounding the shit out of NY. That's inexcusable I don't give a shit what line you play on. Last nite was a devastating loss. Last nite the Rangers didn't even compete and believe me I'm not the only one to notice

he needs to pull up his skirt and realize this game is physical sometimes and he better be part of it. I don't give 2 shits how many shots on goal he has. I care about a guy who's laying it out ,taking chances and having the attitude "I'm going to decide this game". The Rangers lack that badly and someone needs to show some balls and take matters into their own hands. Set the pace , lay some people down and get to the net. Work the wall ,get the fuck in the corners and get the puck in front of the net. The dirty work decides this shit not skating around looking beautiful waiting for a freebie.
Nash has the strength to take anyone to the net while carrying the puck and he's flat out afraid to do it. He's one of those guys who collects the meaningless goals against shit teams but doesn't decide games. He should expect more and produce more. As for the 1st period the Rangers missed an opportunity in the 1st 1 1/2 minutes. After that they disappeared. They did not dominate Philly at any point after the 1st 2 shifts. Philly skated them into the ice all nite long, not to mention physically beat hell out of them. I'll say this to Hall ? - if Brian Boyle kicks your ass it's time to start playing tennisThe Rangers dominated the Flyers the first period and came out down 1-0, it's typical of us. After that, the whole team struggled, everybody looked like shit. What's sad is, our fourth line, has been one of the better lines this whole series. Night in and night out they show up. As I pointed out above, Nash shows up tonight, like he did in the game against the Jackets, nobody will stop him.
I've never seen a guy his size, and with his strength, not use it to his advantage. He did in game 5 when we had the win locked up. Just do it for 60 minutes, one game, give me a full effort and the result will be in our favor.

I am not saying this to pile on to Rick, because I like him and think he is a phenomenal player. But this was pointed out to me by a stats geek buddy.
In his rookie season of 2002-2003, Rick Nash scored 17 goals.
In his rookie season of 2013-2014, Boone Jenner scored 16 goals
In 22 playoff games, Rick Nash has 2 career goals.
In 6 playoff games, Boone Jenner has 3 career goals.
Rick, my friend. Time to man up. Life is going to be hard for you if you don't.

Jenner was also two years older in his rookie season though. When Nash was 19 he scored 41 goals. When Jenner was 19 he scored 45 goals, in the OHL.
So are you saying Nash peaked early and went down hill or Jenner peaked late?
I started it , I'm a Ranger fan and I'm pissed off !
