Thought I was going to watch a game. Instead I saw a clinic on how to practice penalty kills. Kings wanted to show us 5 on 4 and 5 on 3. Maybe after the restroom break we will see a 4 on 3 kill.
Kings earned some of those penalties and some were gifts from the refs. In the long run good teams beat bad officiating.
Much better period from the Kings. Not just because of the goal and the 1-0 lead but they completely controlled play up until the penalty trouble they got into. Great penalty killing and they got out of the period with the lead. Now they have to take advantage of the fact the Rangers played in Montreal last night and pound, pound, pound and come back to the west coast with a 7 point road trip.
