The Keydets have not posted a winning season since 1981 and have earned one victory in the past two years. Marshall also scheduled VMI this season, but Army deserves a bigger share of criticism. VMI is one eyesore among many on the Black Knights' marshmallow-soft schedule. Only three Army opponents for 2019 posted a winning record a year ago."

Even though they've flipped the rivalry with Navy over the past few years, they still have to treat that game as the most important one. Besides that, should be smooth sailing.

When Jeff Monken left Georgia Southern to take the HC job at Army, I told friends he would bring them back. For years they were a cupcake for every team they played. He is an incredible HC who is very meticulous and gets involved with his program on every level. Dude is a perfectionist with a great grasp on reality...…..if that makes any sense. Army is not gonna be a pushover for any team they play as long as he is HC.

That said.....GO NAVY, BEAT ARMY! Semper Fucking FI
