Home opener
The Redskins' first game played at home in 2020 will come in season opener on Sept. 13 against the Eagles. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

Primetime games
As noted above in the schedule breakdown, the Redskins will be playing in just one primetime game in 2020 -- against the Cowboys in Dallas on Thanksgiving. In 2019, the Redskins played in two primetime games -- in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears on "Monday Night Football" in Washington, and then in Week 8 against the Vikings on "Thursday Night Football" in Minnesota.

Strength of schedule
Earlier this offseason, John Breech broke down the 2020 strength of schedule for all 32 NFL teams based on combined opponent winning percentage in 2019. The Redskins will face the fifth-easiest strength of schedule in 2020. For a complete look at every team's strength of schedule, check out Breech's breakdown here.

However, when basing strength of schedule on the over/under win totals for each team's opponents during the 2020 season at William Hill, the Redskins go from facing the fifth-easiest schedule in the league to facing the eighth-toughest. For a complete look at every team's strength of schedule using this methodology, check out Jared Dubin's full breakdown here.

This team could be 4-3 or 5-2 going into the "bye " week based on this schedule.

I think we are playing the Rams not Chargers. This schedule is not easy. 4-3 at the break would be a wonderful.

we will be lucky if we have 2 wins , and its the rams not chargers . off the top of my head the eagles rams ravens cowboys , browns are straight up better then we are . the cards are on the rise with a good young mobile qb , which leaves us with the gaints on the road

so if you disagree with me about the browns i see 3 chances at wins and all could go either way

Why do,people think the Rams will be good? They sucked last season and lost two of their best.

there are 3 automatic losses in those first 7

4-3 is the absolute best case scenario and they would need a lot of stars to align for that to happen.

As soon as the NFL schedule was released Las Vegas didn't waste any time posting Week 1 betting lines. Philadelphia is a 6 point road favorite at Washington.

I am assuming you are referring to the Ravens, Eagles, and Cowboys? I really don’t see any automatic losses. The Ravens were best last season but Lamar Jackson is going down this season, we just don’t know when.

To be honest I can’t see us putting a glove on him or Murray

yes those 3... there is always the chance to surprise week 1 but even last year that happened and was still rectified by the end of game

That game could turn into must see tv if the Skins defense knocks Jackson out or he's already out and Griffin is QBing.

Not putting a glove on Jackson or Murray? So finally having a real Def Co and this awesome DL the Skins are supposed to have is really just smoke n mirrors?

Its the 5th easiest strength of schedule-wise. How exactly would you define an easy schedule?

IMO its not easy. I see 5 easy games. Giants twice, Lions, Bengals, and Panthers. So the floor should be 5 wins. Cards, Cowboys, eagles, and Rams could make it to 9-7.

We'll see I guess. FTR, I've never put a lot of stock in strength of schedule predictions. What I am putting a lot of stock in, perhaps too much, is the improvements we've made coachinhg-wise, particularly defensively speaking.

I don’t really understand how playing against the toughest division in the NFC and probably the toughest in the AFC could rank so easy
