Question is how many games will RR give Howell to prove himself? IF RR knows he has a top defense and he has a vet QB backup when does Howell get the hook if he performs poorly? The first two games look very winnable.

I don’t know if Howell will ever get a shot. He always favors veterans and Brissett can win 8 games but you have to win the first two.

Howell will really have to stink it up in TC for him not to be the Week 1 starter. Are you predicting that JB is the starter week 1?

I am saying I don’t like RR and based on his history with young QBs, I expect JB to start week 1.

EB doesn't name the starter NOR does he have GM duties. I have tried to say that at least a dozen times.

Well we have a team that has a NFL worst attendance figure, no star at QB , and a possible lame duck FO heading to a mediocre season

I'm with Dad. Odds makers have us near the bottom of the league, we still have no respect and that won't change until we start winning consistently. And in this division that may take a while.

We can never really carry over year to year as nothing stays the same. But this is basically the same roster, with a few upgrades, as last year's team that won 8 games. The big change of course is at QB and even with low expectations for Howell you have to believe he will give them more than the QBs of last year.

What? Look at the schedule. If we start 0-2, we will likely be 0-4.

From there, 6 of the next 9 are against playoff teams. Then 3 of the last 4 are NYJ, SF, and Dallas…3 of the top 8 teams in the league.
