We gained 1.6. 3 additions for a measly gain of 1.6 Wins Above Average and the one large gain has come close to career numbers.

I'm still haunted by when the M's hosted the Nationals in 2008, got swept and still managed to overtake Washington at the end of the season and miss out on Strasburg.

Offseason's matter.

I dont even thing this past one is the main problem. It should have been better but doing nothing the previous two offseasons I think is providing the greater impact or lack there of.

Imagine last years team with Taijuan Walker and Kolten which required an extra what 20 mil when you were already spending nothing?

I agree. I remember several years ago Texas was kind of floundering and they traded for Cole Hamels and people were like wtf are they doing and the Rangers ended up winning the division. Not saying the M's are one piece away, but I don't also think that a team sucking should preclude them from getting MLB talent if it's a good fit. You never know what might happen.

So at what point does Stanton and Co. step and start making sacrifices? I know Servais could’ve been AL MOY but this was THE year for Jerry and Scott to earn the money they have gotten the past 7 years.

If almost getting swept at home by Oakland isnt enough I dont know what it is. There should be hard conversations right now but its the Mariners so Ive come to expect nothing
