Apparently they will introduce an E1 version of Powergirl next season on Flash. I am not sure if they plan on using Benoist or not. I would guess that they would get an older actress to play her, and the story will be that she was not diverted to the Phantom Zone and has been very DL the whole time.

However, going with an older PG would not fit the demographic, but Benoist would cost too much.

I would love to see Benoist in the boob-window outfit, though.

Except its the equivalent of killing off Arthur Curry or the Flash on Smallville.

Not at all. Curry and Allen had unique talents. Laurel does not. Any homeless dude off the street could fill Laurels place on the team.

Also Curry and Allen were only recurring characters on Smallville. Not series regulars.

And with Curtis there, Felicity became redundant.

Not to mention that Oliver needs to take over the company at some point. He's a playboy billionaire. When does he get to that?

You are taking too much from the comics. The comics are a jumping point for the show, but they are not absolutely, permanently linked. There will never be a Justice League in the Arrowverse because there will never be a Superman or Batman. There may be a reference to a Powergirl or Supergirl from SG-E, but I feel safe in saying there will not an actual JL (especially if the DCU continues).

So I tried to watch the crossover episode with the Flash on "Supergirl" and it was awful... I fast forwarded to the part where Barry makes his entrance, then watched until he left and stopped watching.

Sorry but not sorry... I'll never be watching Supergirl... ever again...

My point is that the character is already very different from the comics. Add in that your major attachment (apparently) is that she is a future JL member, and the JL will most likely never exist in the Arrowverse, make her completely kill-able.

My question is what was the point of the ARGUS episode then?

He already had his powers. There was no need to pretend he was helping Team Arrow then.
