I think the defense letting guys run uncovered into the endzone had a lot to do with why they lost. They also let a 2 yard pass turn into a 78 yard TD. I wouldn't totally let the offense off the hook but, the D looked even worse than last year.

They didn't "let" that 2 yard pass turn into a 78 yard TD. One of the best WRs in the league just let himself score. lol. Demaryius is amazing.

He would have listened to his players IF he had two challenges in his pocket. You don't do that if it could very well be your last challenge with just about a half of football to play. You could see with the naked eye from a mile away that the pass to Thomas was incomplete. Of course it took no time to throw the challenge flag on that one.

Still doesn't change the fact that he had 10 to 11 seconds to challenge the call after the replay was shown and before the Broncos snapped the ball again. He blew it.

One of the INT's had no bearing on the game because it was awarded back to the Ravens when the defender dropped the ball at the 1 and it was knocked around for a touchback. The many drops by the receivers may have lead to the 54% completion percentage.

It's funny that when guys like Cam Newton and Matt Stafford throw for 400 yards and multiple TD's people want to put them in the elite category but, when Joe does it he's just average.

I think it has something to do with him throwing the ball 62 times and only putting up the numbers that he did. You would think with that many pass attempts he should put up some kind of numbers. Throw in the offense had 6 three and outs. He definitely had some drops that hurt him but he also had some throws that were way off the mark. I guess the big thing with Flacco is the team just gave him this huge contract yet the way he played on Thursday is exactly why they were hesitant to pay him before this past season. He is inconsistent and is better as a game manager than a guy asked to lead his team to victory.

Here is a tidbit that should close this thread....

Last year the Ravens allowed 14 TD's, and number 7 came in week 10.

This year after one week, they have allowed 7 TD's.

Nuff said.

We don't know whether the Ravens are in trouble or not.

It's only been a single game AND you were playing Manning AND you were doing in Mile High.

So we don't know whether the Ravens are just that bad or are the Broncos that good - or did both teams just have an anomoly night.

Ummm...not even close.

In ONE game you have allowed half as many TD's as you did all year last year. You allowed the same number of TD's last year in ten weeks as you did in ONE game this year.

If thats not even close to signaling the ravens are in trouble to you, you are delusional.

And SF went from #3 to #22 in total defense.

The sky isn't falling, it's only week one.

It's Week One and every team in the AFC North is 0-1.

They are a long way from being in trouble.

Huff had a rough first day in the NFL, thats for sure.

he's had a bunch of rough days since his first day in the NFL, just a little more obvious when you're playing first game on opening night

You have to excuse Breaker, he's the San Fran village idiot. He probably thought Huff was a rookie and forgot that he's been in the league for almost a decade. Go back and read the "Books were cooked" thread to see how many times he totally didn't get it or; made himself look like a total d-bag.

No way! They lost the first game of the season on the road to a good team. All is lost. Just forfeit the rest of the season.

But we won and had a huge offensive day. We are the third rated passing offense in the league.

You lost by 22 points. AND gave up half as many TD's in one game as you did all year last year.

The Ravens losing their first game means everything.
The 49ers scoring 7 touchdowns against a weak Ravens defense means nothing.

I see you posted this several times in this thread. Are you just trolling or do you actually believe this is correct?
