Don't know about being in trouble. LY I thought they were a 9 or 10 win team and obviously we see how that turned out. Not to take anything from it b/c every SB team will needs a rabbit foot (converting 4th & 50..lol) somewhere along the way.

This yr...last week I thought they were a 9 win team...still feel the same way.

DEF...Strong DL/OLB, yes, they got younger and more athletic @ ILB but you just don't know how the intangibles that Lewis brought (especially on the road) really affects the team.

OFC...Very solid RB/FB, in spite of his big contract Joe imo is a very good QB not a great one...the issue is @ WR/TE...I will say the UGA kid @ WR Brown imo will be better than Jacoby Jones.

Being the hunted every week is tough, and I don't think they have enough on OFC to overcome that.

Trouble? As in a losing season, no, but playoffs this year...doubtful.

:agree: But I still think they could make the playoffs, by maybe being wildcarded. It's too hard to predict this early. All trolling aside (me included), the Ravens have a good team. They have plenty of talent to be a playoff team, but I think the leadership is the only thing missing and probably was one of the reasons they fell flat week 1. They'll get it figured out and bounce back against the Brownies. However, if they lose to the Browns at home, then THAT would be more cause for panic.

The Ravens are fine. They just need time to gel with all the new players on defense.

...it wouldn't hurt for 'em to maybe trade for a tight end too. And it would help if Jacoby Jones' injury isn't serious (I haven't heard if it is or not yet).

Not ready to write em off just yet. I think we all knew there would be some drop off(except ravens fans)after losing all those players.
Just like I'm not ready to crown the broncos after they beat a team that was questionable to begin with.

Although after watching the ravens performance,I sure am more confident about week three.

It's been one game. What a ridiculous question. I'd be more worried about the crappy Steelers or cruddy Raiders.

Me worry?

Fuck whoever you are.

As far as the Ravens being in trouble, other than losing the opening game, I would have to say hell no.

Peyton was sharp, and I am sure he worked hard offseason to make certain of that, this is another golden opportunity for him to win a ring, he doesn't want to squander any more of them. Denver will be a contender and should take it deep as long as Peyton stays upright.

Harbaugh is a great coach, he won't make too many mistakes throughout a season, the Ravens didn't win an SB due to on field talent alone, talent runs deep throughout the organization, they are a machine, and they will be around come post-season, imo.

Thank you for confirming the stereotype of Raiders' fans overreacting to things. I fully expect the city of Oakland to be looted and burned after they lose to the Colts this weekend.

...And I don't expect anyone to notice anything out of the ordinary because it's Oakland.

They lost a bunch of players. Their D looked bad, horrible tackling and the WR corps is depleted, after the Jones injury. They are now shopping around for the likes of Brandon Lloyd, Laurent Robinson and Austin Collie. Bad move to let Boldin go. He's a great receiver and I always wished he played for the Pats. We shall see if Flacco can pick up the flack, err I mean slack, no pun intended.

I thought they looked great in the first half, but they are definitely missing the leadership from Lewis and Reed.

They also got blown out by the Broncos last year, at home, and much closer to the playoffs. Don't bury them just yet.

Yeah, fuck you too.

F*** is such a powerful word.

There are so many uses for it, it is so powerful sometimes you only need to use half of it, pronounced: Fuhhhh. Or you can substitute the U for an A and say fahhhhhck and still convey the same meaning.
What is your favorite use of the word Fuck?
One of my all time favorites is: "Fuck you and the horse you rode in on!"

What say you?

They made mistakes that put the game out of hand. If they made less mistakes, the game would have been much more competitive.

Did anyone else think that Huff looked horrible? I would expect a rookie starter to take a few lumps, but he was terrible.

But WHY did they make those mistakes?

Losing both safeties - regardless of what Ravens fan will tell you - has to hurt. They lost 8 men on the defensive side of the ball.

Peyton Manning was out of step with one of his guys, but he made up for it with the others. What hurt Flacco is that he's missing so many catches with the ones he's missing.

I think the word "dude" is a far more powerful word. Because it can mean so many different things. Fuck pretty much means one thing.... well maybe two things...

Jacoby Jones sprained MCL in Baltimore Ravens' loss - NFL.com

The Baltimore Ravens might be without their No. 2 receiver and star kick returner until Halloween.

The knee injury that knocked Jacoby Jones out of Thursday's season-opening loss to the Denver Broncos has been diagnosed as an MCL sprain, a source informed the injury told NFL Media Insider's Ian Rapoport on Friday night

For whatever you think it's worth...

Ha! that is funny clip. I second the motion, dude could very well be the most powerful four letter word, even more so than fuck. Of course, you need to consider other 4-letter candidates such as love, damn, tool, etc.

And thanks to you for overreacting to a very simple insult, OBVIOUSLY not directed at you, now let me beat the fuck out of you and take your internet lunch money.

Lighten up Francis, it was just a warmup on a Friday evening, before I went on my merry way and enjoyed something a little more............................................................................................

Losing boldin was tough. Losing pitta after losing boldin was tougher. But flacco played alright and I think they are a playoff team. If they gel a bit they're in decent shape.

And they just lost Jones for the next 6 weeks.

They lost SO many players on both sides of the ball that it's gotta hurt. You just can't pick up where you left off when that happens.

It's going to take a while to gel. They've got the Browns next weekend and that should be an easy game for them. They've got some tough ones coming up though.

We'll see what happens.
