Aquaman, being released on December 21, 2018, directed by James Wan, will be the 6th film of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

And from that Entertainment Weekly issue, here is the first photo of villain Black Manta. They've renamed the character from David Hyde in the comics to David Kane, which suggests the possibility that they might be combining the character with assassin David Cain, a Batman villain.

IDK, the expectation is already very low... and Aquaman even though he is an original justice leaguer, and a main one too, he has always been seen to be the WHO CARES one... so they kind of can get away with doing whatever they want with it... So hopefully that makes it good... IF that makes sense...

The girls costumes look like they put on their best rave outfits. Tacky as hell. One of them looks like the little mermaid. I could be wrong, but the tackiness of those outfits is borderline Joel schumacher Batman level. I could be wrong, but this looks like another bomb.

I'm a DC fan, so I will obviously see it... I mostly liked Aquaman from Justice League, but I hope they remove those ridiculous screams he made. Those were completely out of character for the cool guy they tried to portray.

Interestingly, Djimon Hounsou previously played Korath the Pursuer in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), will reprise the role of Korath in Marvel's Captain Marvel (2019), and has also been cast to play the Wizard in DC's upcoming Shazam! (2019).

This better be great if it's going to enjoy any kind of success... I don't think it will have a good opening (a really uninspiring superhero + the backlash against DC movies), so IMO they'll rely on reviews and word of mouth.
