No, it didn't.

The Raiders aren't to blame here whatsoever. AB did it to himself. He doesn't want to play without guarantees, just don't be a complete asshole to your employer for 4 months straight.

If he was really sorry, he'd realize he did it to himself and take that as his punishment, which was FAR too lenient for the way he behaved, IMO.

Once again the tweet went over your head. Nobody is blaming the Raiders lmao.

The tweet is simply saying she can understand why Brown would ask for his release if all of his guaranteed money is done. Most players would probably ask for their release if a team pulled their guaranteed money

ok, but it's not like the raiders are pulling his guarantees without reason, and just doing it for the hell of it. he brought it upon himself.

Totally agree but the Raiders had to expect this once they pulled his guaranteed money even though they were right to do so

So that dumb fuck got no real signing bonus? Sorry but NFLPA has do ban his agent.
He did, and it was a really easy signing bonus to earn. All he had to do was show up to work.

I mean, sure. but Antonio Brown is a grown-ass man, he is responsible for how he might react to whatever happens to him.

That would be perfect. No guarantees, he doesn't show up, they don't pay him. He sits and they hold his rights so AB rots away.

That would be better than an outright void and release.

Even if he got his freedom, what team is stupid enough to take a chance on him now?
Keapernick might get signed before AB at this point.

I agree.

Point of the tweet was Brown asking for his release shouldn't come as a surprise after everything that happened this week

Terrell Owens: No receiver has ever reached the level of drama I had during my career!
AB: Hold my beer.....

He's under contract. They can and should sit on his ass and let him rot. They are under no obligation to cut or trade him just because he's sad he lost his guarantees.

His money isn't pulled, just his guaranteed money. If the dumbass shuts up and plays he still gets the money he agreed to.

But isn't that total less than the guaranteed he would have gotten had he acted right? Wasnt it a 4 for 50? Guaranteed money being 30 of the 50?

Is there another example of this happening before? "Most players" would not have let it get to this point.

If a few of the posts on here are accurate his signing bonus was 1M the 30M no longer guaranteed was salary.
