We have scored more runs than we gave up over a 7 game homestand ( scored 22 surrendered 21 )

Terrible defense - many brain farts on the base paths.

Practically no clutch timely hitting to plate risp or with 2 outs.

pitching staff must feel like WTF over ?? Relievers Sewald and Castillo sp? look like hammered dog shit and allowing too many guys on base.

Only 3 hitting well are Julio Suarez and France. 3 guys cannot carry an offense when the rest are borderline hitless over 7 games.

yea it's early on ... but the hype and talk of competing for the post season sure does sound laughable ( and embarrassing )

Short road trip ... would not be surprised if we come back 3 wins 10 losses firmly entrenched in the cellar

I still think that JRod should bat 3rd and not 1st. They claim they do this to get him more AB's so I looked it up. Last year the #1 spot in the order had 35 more PA's than the #3 spot. That is it. Of course we don't have a legit leadoff hitter anyways but that should have been a priority in the offseason but we don't do priorities.

Oh I agree. That was my point of making leadoff a priority in the offseason so the best hitter could bat 3rd and drive them in. It didn't happen and probably won't happen in the future because that is what we do. Oh well.

it's such a mess when hitters just do not hit. I am OK with pissin on a ball and making outs. But such weak contact or ZERO contact up and down our line up is unacceptable. Put the ball in play and force the defense to make a play to get you out. And quit making dumb decisions like sending Ty France home with zero outs on a ball that was fielded near the 3rd base coaching box on a richocet. Just terrible baseball. No excuse for mental mistakes or coaching mistakes.

Even little leaguers know you do not make the 1st or 3rd out of an inning at 3rd base. And you sure as hell do not make the 1st out at home plate with the heart of the line up coming to hit 4-5-6 hole.

The game is hard enough when you play well and simply get outplayed. DO NOT beat yourself.
