Let me repeat this, it is MUCH better JK is in this start than what we saw the last few years, but he has a total of 3 AB so far against a lefty.

Let's see what his numbers look like when they up his attempts against lefties.

Let's see what happens to him when he hits a 1 for 20 skid.

At least we are seeing what it looks like when he's hot. We didn't get much of that last year. It's a huge step forward.

He's still a work in progress.

Yah, I mean consistency is the thing.... 13 games in (not even 10% of the season) and he's looked great, but it's just that... and you're correct, what happens against lefties, when he gets in another bit of a slump, etc. He teased us a lot with that at times in prior years. "Oh, maybe he's getting it turned around!" and he'd play decent for a stretch, and then right back to crap. This is coming after an offseason so you like to believe adjustments were made but who knows... and if adjustments were made then pitchers will adjust. And can he stick with them or fall off again?

Ya I have no problem seeing him platoon all year. I just think you have to emotionally bubblewrap the guy and keep him safe from himself.

The reason you don't want to see it is he has already shown he can't pull himself out of a funk in the past.

The reason you want to see it is they have garbage at DH. Even if he hits .200 against lefties you might improve the order. As sad as that is.

I'm not sure which is right, but I don't fully trust Servais to make the right call either.

It's still nice to see this start either way.

I'm with ya. I just don't trust him enough if he struggles. But agreed you have to at some point try unless you sign a real hitter to DH...lol that will never happen.
