Overall I thought it was a solid draft for what the Warriors wanted to accomplish. It's always going to be difficult to find quality players later in the draft, but the Warriors took two (possibly even 3) guys who they think might be able to contribute right away. Even though I wanted Carsen Edwards, Poole makes sense as a guy who can initiate his own offense and definitely will not be shy in taking big shots. He's got work to do on his body though to be able to guard at the NBA level, but I think he's already easily the best ball handler and shooter on our second unit. Not sure if that speaks to his abilities or the Warriors short comings, but probably the latter.
Paschall is a really good value pick at 41. NBAdraft.net had him going as high as 22 in their last mock previous to the draft. He's a guy that can step in right away on that second unit and be a 3/D forward. His body is NBA ready and he probably has a limited upside, but will be able to play right away I think.
Alen Smailagic will be the wild card though. Everyone thought they traded up for 41 to take him, but the Warriors ended up trading up again to take him at 39 with another pick. Seems like they gave away a lot to the Pelicans, but from all accounts the Warriors have been really high on him all year and went through lengths to hide him in Santa Cruz. He's only 18 years old with a ton of upside. They said he might even be ready to play some games for the team this year.
