Apparently Bradford signed a two year agreement in Philly. I am glad cause that would kill the rumors of him coming to SF. I don't want Bradford. Never liked him and I would just assume stick with Gabbert or Kaep before going with Bradford.

we recently read Kelly liked Bradford because he processes fast (can make those quick throws) and throws accurately. Just my opnion but i'd take Bradford over Kaep. Think their cap cost - after including Kaep's bonus' - are not far off?

I've watched enough of Bradford over the years and have seen enough of him not to want him. Can't even count on him staying healthy. Probably has spent more time on IR in his career then actually playing.

Maiocco corrected it to a procedural thing, not to clear cap space. It appears they're rewarding Staley by guaranteeing more of his contract? Not sure, just appears to me.

You're right. I just came across that Maiocco story. They don't need to rework contracts to create more space. I don't think they will spend all the cap space they have.

agree. Baalke will still stick to "value" in free agency, and i'm glad.

Can't avoid overpaying, but there are different levels of overpaying, hence different levels of "value".

Said awhile ago, expecting the first 'name' free agent to be an offensive linemen. Not a big splash, but 'name' meaning a Roman Foster or Manny Ramirez. A player who has been starting but not a long term solution, to bridge the gap. Don't think they'll go after a Mack or Schwartz, who'll command bigger contracts.

just too bad on Martin not panning out, and maybe Thomas too.

i will be dissapointed if Baalke drafts an IR player within the first four rounds. Clearly and without question, it HASN'T worked at all.

But i wouldn't go into the draft thinking Trent Brown is a given, quality starter.

I wouldn't either, but in all honesty....I think I can make a case for him over Anthony Davis as the starter at RT. I believe Brown deserves a legit chance to make the starting 5.

From what I've read, Trent Brown is in the mix to start at Right Tackle and there is talk of potentially moving Davis to Right Guard.

That would be somewhat interesting. From the limited snaps, Brown was a breath of fresh air. Perhaps I was conditioned to watch the trash for months, so anything would be an improvement. Davis still has to prove to me that he 'wants' to be there.

i do too, and see no reason why he wouldn't get that chance? Even if we draft Ronnie Stanley, Brown should get a fair shot.

49ers to tender 2015 starters Wilhoite, Devey

Don't really get this. They both stink, especially Devey. Might be low risk but why even bring him back.
Im with you. I don't get it either. Wilhoite was ranked the worst starting MLB in football this year. Devey Im ok with depth. I think Devey is better then martin. Im just happy we found Tiller and Brown. Only positive from last year.

There is no cap hit if Devey is cut later on. But yeah, agree he is just taking reps away from someone who needs it.

I would think Wilhoite is now depth at best.

I think keeping on a young rookie for depth is as good as Devey.

Hey the good news is Chip Kelly didn't talk the front office into trading for Murray or maxwell from the eagles. Now if we sign this Guard from Seattle I might give up on this front office.
