I still can't get over how much Alex impressed me last night. He had a great playoff performace, I'm so proud of that dude, he's been through a lot. Next year when Morgan gets back he'll just be that much better.

That sumbitch nearly cost us the game with all those drops yesterday. I don't think Smith targeted him once after the last two back to back drops.

Wouldn't surprise me if Harbs takes him under his wing this week and he has a big game next week....

So happy for Alex after all the shit he's been through over the course of his career. And I've got to say, I'm feeling pretty darn vindicated after my argument with Bemular on the ESPN board when I said there was a good chance I'd take Smith over Bradford for the first few games of the season. Granted I didn't even dream of this at that point.

Last week I was saying I'm not sure we need a top-tier WR, but I'm having some serious second thoughts. Granted we basically only had two WRs active in Crabtree and Williams, and Crabtree had just a debacle of a game after the TD. But our need for another legit receiving threat was clear in this one. Granted losing Walker is basically the same as losing our third or fourth WR, but even with Morgan and Walker back I think we need some more offense.

We need a #1 WR. One that is huge and has a large catching radius.

They need WRs who can stay healthy! Ginn, Crabs, Morgan(IR), Edwards(cut), and Williams all missed games this season.

I was just about to say something to that extent. C'mon Dub / Nolan, the kid is not "terrible". He had an awful game last night, but let's not throw the bag yet. He will redeem himself. Watch...!

I believe he'll redeem himself as well...

still, just to add that dynamic to the offense, we need a big size WR or a physical game breaking one similar to a Nicks, Britt, Wallace, Colston(FA???) etc...

They're going to need Crabtree to step up next week, because there is no way that the Giants or Packers are going to screw up and try to contain Vernon Davis with man coverage or 40 year old safeties.

Damn, this morning I woke up thinking the same. This whole week our wr coach and Harbaugh are going to preach that to Crabtree

Alex played not only the best game of his career but one of the better games all season from any QB. He came through when he needed to and made big plays to keep his team in the game. To me that is more impressive than throwing for 500 yards and 5 tds.

Not only that but he did it in the biggest game of his career, super impressive. Freaking resign him.

they'll re-sign him because he was consistent all season.
