will have to agree he won't be an elite passing QB, but boy aren't we glad he's playing to this level, however you define it?

This is not the thread to hate, but I disagree. He did an awful job managing the clock when it was below the two minute warning. Vernon burnt Malcom Jenkins for that long gain which bailed him out. However, let's not forget that despite him not being "jittery", Alex did not manage the clock to the best possible way.

Alex Smith was always someone that I thought was pretty good but just had too much problems going on around him with new coordinators and all that.

With Harbaugh Smith has become really good, great performance by him.
