Aldon Smith's option picked up

So I was just looking over the option numbers for next year, and Robert Quinn's is only for $6.969 million. What the hell? How does he have a lower number than Aldon? If anything, the number for a DE should be higher than the number for an OLB. I don't see how Quinn's number could be $3 million less. That's straight BS if it's accurate.

Oh, apparently the number is different for guys in the top-10 vs. others. Transition tag vs. the average of guys 3rd through 25th at the position. Damn, that sucks.
