Funny story about my draft. I had the fourth pick, which according to ESPN, would net me Bryce Harper as the highest player possible. Now I'm not too big on Harper repeating his monster 2015 stats, so I was going to slide all the way down to Stanton, who was projected as the eighth pick, and take him with the fourth. This was all assuming Trout, Goldy, and Kershaw would be off the boards in the first three picks. Lo and behold, this guy in my draft named Cedrique took Stanton with the third pick, so I got Goldschmidt:D

Nah I took Harper with the third pick. I was planning on staying away from Kershaw, and Cedrique taking Stanton 2nd throw me for a minute.

You are welcome. I was happy with my draft. Except for when my phone gave me Papelbon, when I clicked on Tanaka. Which is another one you can think me for, because you took him with the next pick.

First round

Trout
Stanton
Harper
Goldschmidt
Kershaw
McCutchen
Donaldson
Correa
Altuve
Arenado

We may be the only league with our format that had Stanton going 2 and Arenado getting in the first round

Does that really invalidate what I said about Kennedy though? :noidea:
Well, it gives me a big reason as to why you're optimistic it will happen. Not sure how facing DHs and not pitching at PETCO Park is supposed to help him avoid the long ball.

I don't really see how an anomalous 17.2 HR/FB% is sustainable when his career HR/FB% rate is 10.7. Kauffman isn't exactly HR friendly itself.

I don't think anyone is betting on it to stay that ridiculously high, but then his batted ball exit velocity last year was atrocious too. Ian Kennedy is a fine candidate for a bounce-back on a one-year deal. Not that draft pick + 70 million dollar monstrosity that KC gave up to get him.

Nobody, including me, is disputing his dollar amount is obnoxious and excessive.

More homers were hit at Petco than at Kaufman last year Ian gave up 7 more homers at Petco in 2 less games:suds:

I think everyone in the world knew the Pujols contract was a bad idea except for the Angels. I am still in general disbelief that a team paid that much for him.

I'm not even mad at Pujols, that was quite impressive. I need his agent.

I hope the Angels pay every single cent and before it's done he's exposed as the biggest cheater since Mariano.
