So the ORIOLES don't totally suck anymore.

Sure they are still a bad team, but they are no longer an embarrassment to baseball.

It was painful 3 years, but I think we might see them finally emerging from the other side in this Houston Astros style demolition/rebuild.

They look like a 65-70 win team on the rise instead of the 45-50 win years of the last 3 season for the complete rebuild.

They will be a real pain the ass for wildcard contenders in the 2nd half.
No doubt, they’ll still go through some roughy stretches. But at least it looks like there’s finally some light at the end of the tunnel. Can’t wait to see Gunnar Henderson and Jordan Westberg come up since they’re continuing to do well since arriving in Norfolk. And if Grayson Rodriguez can return to form next season, that’s a good nucleus of players along with Adley Rutschman to build around.

Westburg's showing some impressive power this year, and he's just raking in AAA. He could bbe up pretty soon.

Gunnar's done a fantastic job improving at the plate. Not only has he raised his walk rate, but he's also cut his K% from over 30% in A+ ball to under 20% at AA and AAA. And he's only 21. FWIW, Steamer already projects him to be an above average hitter in the majors (.238/.335/.415, 116 wRC+).

I have now watched 3 no nos in my life. One was Clay Buchholz against the Orioles for the Red Sox. The other two were Houston throwing a combined no no against the Yankees.

Hopefully I never watch one of these live again.

I have watched Don Larsen, David Cone, and David Wells games on tape.

History about to be made

Yesterday the Yankees were swinging through pitches. Today they have been off slightly on their swings. Those just missed swings that end up as pop ups or lazy ground balls.

I expect someone to connect and open the flood gates
