I have now watched 3 no nos in my life. One was Clay Buchholz against the Orioles for the Red Sox. The other two were Houston throwing a combined no no against the Yankees.

Hopefully I never watch one of these live again.

I have watched Don Larsen, David Cone, and David Wells games on tape.
I was at Cone's perfect game. It was Yogi Berra day and Yogi's first trip to the Stadium in 20 years after George fired him. Don Larsen threw the first pitch to Yogi that day.

BROCKTON, Mass. -- As outfielder Pedro Martinez Jr., first baseman Manny Ramirez Jr., third baseman D'Angelo Ortiz, outfielder Jaden Sheffield and pitcher Kade Foulke chat in the batting cages, general manager Tom Tracey shoos away fans loitering outside Campanelli Stadium, hoping to get a glimpse of the players known collectively as "The Sons."

Huge game from Franchy last night, going 4-5 with a double and two stolen bases. The overall numbers aren't quite impressive (.252/.331/.413, 109 wRC+), but they're still leaps and bounds better than last year and his Statcast numbers suggest he's still been very unlucky.

Franchy's percentile rankings:

xWOBA: 89%
xBA: 87%
xSLG: 87%
xISO: 81%
xOBP: 87%
Barrel%: 78%
EV: 87%
Max Exit Velocity: 99%
HardHit: 94%

Still K's, but he's gone from having a K% above 35% every year to 25.8% this year, which is far more manageable.
