He was in the Yankee bullpen in the '95 ALDS against Seattle. Was lifted from a tied game 5 in favor of Jack McDowell.

What happened next was truly horrible, and I've always wondered how things might have played out if Showalter stuck with him. Easy to second guess, clearly.....but damn.

Yanks can likely end the Rays season if they're fighting for a WC spot. Final 2 games is in the final week of the season

The Rays schedule from end of August 27 til end of September is pretty brutal.

3 in Houston
3 vs Cleveland
3 vs Baltimore
4 vs Toronto
3 in Texas
3 in LA (Angels)
2 in LA (Dodgers)
4 vs Boston
2 vs Yankees
3 vs Toronto

That is 20 out of 30 tough games to end the season
