Nice win.....Now if the Astros can do something positive and beat the Jays that would be greatly appreciated.

It'll be fun to see who can lose more games... Boston will be using these last 54 games as a tryout for next year. Expect to see a lot of their stacked farm system given a taste of the bigs.

Guys on the radio were saying something about if we bring up guys from the farm it costs us a year of their contract or something? I never knew about that. Can someone explain how it works?

Something to do with Arbritation and Free Agency. It is why you see so many rookies not start their first year until the end of May.

Fucking Buchholz. After only giving up one walk in his first 35.2 innings since coming off the DL, he's now walked 12 batters in his last 15 innings.

He might be more frustrating than Dice-K ever was, and that's saying something.

Was it logicman(?) who claimed that he wasn't in the top half of players in the league after he signed the extension?

I still can't get over how comical it is that Brendan Ryan, he of the career 71 OPS+ (34 this year), actually played some 1B. That would be like the Red Sox putting David Ortiz at shortstop.
